iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Haven't been this excited for a rumour in many years. The fremont/steam engine whatever it may be called. Not only works out be amazing hardware with a fantastic ecosystem; it could also be exactly what the industry right now. gameranx.com/updates/id/5...

Personally I seem to have organically gravitated to a support role, Luna, Adam warlock, cloak and dagger. Namor and Scarlet with are incredibly fun to play too👍 Hope tanks are more fun in future patches.🙏

Early gripes.... The tanks don't really feel "tanky" enough to be satisfying to play. Sometimes it can be hard to tell when and from where, you're taking damage as opposed to in other team shooters.

About 7 hours of #MarvelRivals under my belt and really enjoying it. Great optimization, polish and presentation, moderately well balanced and fun gameplay. No character paywalls and a nicely priced Battle pass at 4.99, they seem to be doing everything right. 👍👍

You might have to wait, this giveaway finished a few weeks ago😂

It's not cross play or cross progression at launch so choose your platform wisely. I'm not sure if #PC has separate controller/MK pools so I'm opting for #XboxSeriesX to err on the side of caution. Too old to play competitive hunched over a desk, comfy chair/controller FTW

#xbox year in review is out in the wild

They set Billy up to fail. "Never, ever feed him after midnight!" That's some ambiguous shit in fairness it's always after midnight! They could have been more specific like do not feed it between 12:00 am and 7:00 am. But I guess the movie would have been shorter and less interesting.

My GOG and Epic Libraries are just filled with years worth of freebies. Rarely used and even if I do I add them to my steam library for convenience.

Ashraa @ashraa.bsky.social · 28/11/2024

Steam is far and away the better ecosystem and better supported. Also ideal nor native recording, screencaps, community mods, help etc. GOG is DRM free but really who cares? You can literally just download most games for free on the internet if you really wanted to.

But then this balances things out...

000

There's perhaps a game that runs better on "this" or a feature within an ecosystem that's great, a new system upgrade, price drop/hike, hardware addon.. for better or worse, it can be subjective but closing your mind to one or another console is like clapping with one hand ✋

000

In fact would even go so far as to say that the stupid posts all seem to be from playstation and Xbox fanatics, rarely do you see this kind of thing from #pc or #Switch users. You're gamers, just game! There's not one "best" console......

I'm saying everybody has to go out and buy each console day one to enjoy all content; but over the 4-5 year lifespan of consoles it's enough to pick up one of each if you wanted to, relatively inexpensive and enjoy everything! ......

100

Gaming platforms are not mutually exclusive and outside of a handful of influencers no one is paying you to advocate a console. So why this blind brand loyalty? Especially as #nintendo, #PlayStation and #Xbox have such very different business models?? ......

Every now and again I make a post disparaging sth about a console. Only then do I get dumb replies from console fanatics from one side or another. I GENUINELY don't understand the console wars mentality in 2024. These people have sth wrong with them....

Ulysses 31? Used that watch that after school, before I understood it was based on Greek mythology. It was both a curse and a boon for subsequent classic foundation classes 😂

But then what if all those bleeding Twitter OF, botsand trolls come herevto post.... Wouldn't that make this the rotten one and Twitter then the nice place again 🤔 oh the paradox! 😂

Ai has been doing a lot of the heavy lifting in recent advancements. This is unlikely to as big of an impact in tech that is dependant on size reduction. Getting PS5 games to play natively on a handheld device is most definitely a long way off... Unless you have really big hands.

020

Huuuuuge difference between a $3000+ laptop and a $500 handheld device. Form factor, cooling and battery size for a start. Even then you'd be lucky to get an hours gaming at full power from a laptop unplugged😂

Ashraa @ashraa.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

To be fair though, give them time, it's still in early access, people need to support these small indie devs so they have enough money to fix and continue to develop their games 😂

13 years and $700 million 😂 I had to restart 5 times within 15 minutes due game breaking glitches. Controller rumble glitch, falling thru floor, locked doors, graphical glitch. This is how they want to attract more money and players 😅😅

Long breaks, followed by coffee breaks, then a chat and a stroll, "mouse jigglers" working overtime to keep the online status as "busy". Depends heavily on the industry the company and the country that I suspect working hours and hours worked are very different nowadays. 😜

Ashraa @ashraa.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

Nice article. Although I suspect that while working hours having diminished the amount of work being done certainly has. I recently transferred to my company's office in Spain, a lot of people may be in the office for 9 or 10 hours a day they are literally doing fuck all. 😂

It's not a game though, it's DLC , by very definition it's additional content to a pre-existing game that would not be playable standalone. I loved SOTE but I personally don't believe DLC should be considered for GOTY; but they most definitely should have a separate category.
