Streamline is the most heavy-handed so just a touch if any, stabilization usually around 15%, motion filtering around 10% and expression 5%, slight tweaking depending on the brush but that’s my baseline! Might change with a textured protector, this is what felt good to me using a glass protector

I always feel like my sketches go pretty rough compared to others, here's the general process for the cover I did for Terciel & Elinor by Garth Nix

Rough thumbnail sketches of the two main characters casting magic

Chosen sketch with a rough background and a cat added in with the text overlaid

Colour roughs with warm and cool palettes, with or without cat

Final cover art, the cat moved down alongside the characters to make more room above for the title

A chance visit to the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent, caught a glimpse of this Zorn through a doorway two rooms over, it literally glowed. The brushstrokes feel so effortless and alive, that water, the gentle warmth, getting emotional all over again just thinking about it
