#tavqotd Hundreds? Thousands? Xal doesn’t count. He simply relishes the bloodshed and the agony. It’s joyful and it’s amusing, so there’ll be even more blood.

#tavqotd "To be honest, the first time I saw it, its appearance made me laugh the way only illithids can. It was a truly pitiful sight: a thin, short, extremely disproportionate and asymmetrical creature that behaved as if it were the center of all universes. I truly believed—and still do

So if Ayumu ever gifts you a painting, MAYBE don't lick it… or do, I'm not your parent 😂

#tavqotd Ayumu ofc 😌 Sick, sadistic, irredeemable pos and I love her for it. Capable of care, albeit often in strange or twisted ways. So you see, the canvas isn't all black, there IS specks of color in the dark… if you don't mind the paint being her own (psychoactive) blood, among that of others.

Artober day 3 - comet (What if comets are fallen angels…) #art #space #angel

Digital art of a stylized comet falling towards the atmosphere. The nucleus is an eye with tears streaking out, and several wings and feathers trail behind as the comet falls.

#tavqotd Both Xal and Tar are equally good in combat and in accuracy... And yet Tar is better, as he’s damn good in combat with two blades and a bow WITHOUT the help of magic, whereas Xal turns into a helpless slug without magic, and in that case there can be no question of accuracy, lol.

#tavqotd Xal had two companions right from the start, who stayed with him from the very beginning to the very end – his Patron and the Emp. If he had to choose between the irritating potential companions he’d met on the Nautiloid and the intriguing voices in his head, he would choose the latter. 😌

Will do 🖤 Coincidentally or not, the package actually arrived right while I was in the middle writing a conversation about a comparatively bizarre tome in my WIP continuation, lol. House of Leaves is making crazy shit happen before I even held it in my hands 🤣

#tavqotd These days, Ayumu usually sleeps beside the Emperor. Any position, just close. Feeling his heartbeat, breath, simply his skin on hers is impossibly comforting. But whenever she feels too restless and can't lay still for the life of her, she goes to another room to try to meditate instead.

#ocqotd #tavqotd Yes. Cuddles and physical intimacy in general are important and enjoyable to Ayumu. Touch is one way to convey what words fail to express, which she feels hers often do. Although, such tender displays of vulnerability are limited to those she trusts and feels completely safe with.

#tavqotd dark ambiant / orchestral horror 🖤 Specifically Darkest Dungeon's soundtracks, most of all that of Color of Madness. A blend of eerie, otherwordly beauty and cosmic dread, just a perfect accoustic reflection of Ayumu's inextricable bond to the Far Realm. open.spotify.com/album/4Wf5jE...

#tavqotd Ayumu is painting/carving out 𝒆Ƴ𝒆ｓ ...so you know, just the usual. 😂 As for the pumpkin flesh... is it considered "making pumpkin soup" if you feed all of it to a thrall until their thoughts consist of nothing but PUMPKIN so you can then eat their brain? 🤔

#tavqotd This is a short, fragile elf, even by drow standards. His height is approximately 150 cm. His skin is an ashen shade. His face is androgynous, crossed by a thin, ugly scar running from the left temple to the right lower jaw. The skin is dry; thin lips are covered with a dry crust.

#tavqotd Pain. Physical pain, emotional pain, sweet pain, agonising pain, pain that breeds stubbornness, pain that cradles one in its arms like a mother, pain that overwhelms, pain of memories, pain of shame, warm pain... Pain, whatever form it may take, is the main source of endless fuel for Xal.

I'm actually impressed myself 😭 There's so many crazy Reshade effects I've had since forever, but never tried out until recently because the sight of *the long list of effects I downloaded myself* looked too overwhelming to me 😂

#tavqotd You won’t let Xal absorb the tadpoles’ power or become illithid -> Xal will leave the party and try to kill you. You betray the Emperor -> Xal will immediately betray you, leave the party and try to kill you.

#tavqotd 1. The very first truly ‘terrifying’ fear that Xal experienced was entering into a pact with Moander. It was terrifying not only because he found himself face to face with a god-like, corrupt entity,

Then again, these days it’s not infrequent that I find myself wanting to say something in German, but my brain for the life of me can only think of the English word in that moment. German word not found. Now try to explain this problem to another native speaker and they look at you like "🤨what?" xD

010

Ash | Ayumu 🤍🦑 @ashlynnaska.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I've had English speakers tell me the same about people not knowing their language, lol. As for German, same thing 😅 Some of the emails I get at work seriously make you question people's understanding of basic grammar, syntax, speaking in general. It also makes you realize most people *do not read*.

Ash | Ayumu 🤍🦑 @ashlynnaska.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

For me it fluctuates a lot. Some days I look back at what I wrote like "damn, that was actually good", other days it's "wtf am I even doing" 😂 #1 tends to happen whenever I'm desperately trying to find the energy that spawned the parts I liked while feeling #2 about what I'm trying to work on, lol.

010

Ash | Ayumu 🤍🦑 @ashlynnaska.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

One might even say that in comparison, this WIP is a walk in the park… literally 🤣 Anyway, all of that to say, I completely understand.

010

Ash | Ayumu 🤍🦑 @ashlynnaska.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

I love that shit and all the lore rabbit holes that have been fueling this WIP, and yet I've been having to fight my brain to continuously work on it. Make it make sense, lol. What fucks with me the most is that it's taking me longer than Emperors & Eyes, despite being WAY less difficult to write.

110

Ash | Ayumu 🤍🦑 @ashlynnaska.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Same goes for tasty Drow society lore and the Far Realm. I also love that our brains aligned AGAIN in very explicitly showing the effects on others when exposed to a being as tied to the Far Realm as Xal and Ayumu are respectively — that's a huge part of what I've been writing about too for my WIP 😂

110

Ash | Ayumu 🤍🦑 @ashlynnaska.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Also, I feel like I already told you a thousand times how much I adore the relationship between Xal and Tar, but I'm going to tell you again. The contrast between them, the tenderness, the layers and nuance of a deep connection no word or label can properly describe. I can never get enough of that.

Ash | Ayumu 🤍🦑 @ashlynnaska.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

You write beautifully, and I imagine it would only read even more beautifully in Russian 🖤 Hopefully one day I'll have gotten good enough to read an untranslated continuation of yours. Still far away from that though, I haven’t really found the time to sit down and work on my Russian like I want to.
