When are the democrats going to forcibly remove him and his cronies from the White House? When? Until then, STOP SHOUTING THE OBVIOUS. Action, senator, speaks louder than words. Respectfully.

OR you can NOT buy it and be perfectly fine. Better even. Because you’ll have hundreds of dollars more in savings at the end of the month. 😘

Don’t buy them. Rent them from a library. Hit ‘em with the one-two anticapitalist community support and growing your savings. Don’t stimulate the economy for as long as possible. Power to the people!

Was this before or after he admitted they rigged the election?

Could be fun to flood their platform search results with words like “Guillotine,” “traitor,” “boycott,” “strike,” etc.

The first draft is for the writer. The final draft is for the reader. The journey in between is straight up madness.

And remember, if you can’t be there because of disability or family circumstances, you can show up in other ways. Make signs, babysit, give rides, share information—whatever you can to support those who are there in person.

Yeah, we’re gonna need things like TAKING OVER THE ARMED FORCES AND ARRESTING THESE IDIOTS FOR BREAKING THE LAW, not filing briefs and wringing your hands outside of people’s offices.

I made a PVC trebuchet in elementary school. Maybe we can recreate it to send Elon home. Looks like a nice place full of potential.

My dad has always been SUPER patronizing. One day in conversation I realized he didn’t understand the water cycle. And from then on any time he tried to make me feel stupid I just remembered that he thought fresh water was an endless renewable resource with no thought to where it comes from…

If you need a freelancer to help with the schlepping so you can focus on the work that fuels you, lemme know. I can send a few names 🖤

Also shared in the @generalstrikeus.bsky.social discord channel to get more eyes, attention, and hopefully active participants. ✊🏽

What in the puritanical bullshit. I am LIVID after reading this. Thanks for sharing. Also can we lol that the senator’s name is “Dusty?” Sounds about right. Fired up and ready to pen some angry messages! 😘

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

The discord has LOADS of ways folks are taking direct action and inspiring/supporting each other. Many folks are new to organizing and protesting so it’s a lot of sharing resources and knowledge. You’re welcome to join. We’d love you to share resources/knowledge.

000

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

No, not RevComs. Again, I invite you to engage with the links in the linktree or the website itself to see what it’s about. The sole unifying theme I see so far is the idea that a general strike needs critical mass to be successful—hence the strike card. Everything else is decentralized/WIP.

000

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

If you join the discord or check the links in the account’s linktree, you’ll see we are real people and it is not, in fact, a honeypot. I’m new to BlueSky so my acct here has limited history but there are plenty of others including the @generalstrikeus.bsky.social account that have more. ✊🏽

110

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

The strike card asks for organizing info only—first name, email, zip code (for local organizing) and a phone number (again, for organizing). Reminder that a work strike is a type of protest but they are not the same as a march or sit-in, etc. If you have a discord alternative for organizing, lmk.

Look, I could keep trying to convince you to act. But sounds like you’re pretty determined to feel powerless. If you want to do something, we’d love for you to join us in a way that’s meaningful to you. If not, we’ll be fighting for your rights either way. Much love and good luck on your research!

010

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

Women starved and died for women’s rights. Those in the LGBTQ community were beaten, imprisoned, tortured, and died for LGBTQ rights. Black folks during the civil rights movement went through literal hell to get their rights. Our rights have never been freely given. They have always taken sacrifice.

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

The org is working on getting sponsorships now to support strikers in any way they need. I’m sure it won’t take care of everything but since we have time to plan, you can start working on how it’ll work for you now and identifying what support you’ll need. But remember…this is how rights are won.

020

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

I wouldn’t even call this “sounding the alarm.” Their language is “worried” at best.

000

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

The General Strike won’t happen immediately. The group is waiting until it has enough participants to act. In the meantime they’re working on mutual aid options to financially support those who need it to be able to participate. If you sign up now, you’ll get info as we reach critical mass. ✊🏽

1. I don’t want to engage at all and seeing the posts makes that a temptation. 🫣 2. They don’t know they’re blocked but they also won’t get my views (or engagement). 🤷🏽‍♀️

Not sure we can call NPR responsible media these days tho. Just blocked them bc of yet another sanewashed story about the orange man.

Are we really back to judging each other for our “silly women novels”? Get off your high horse. At the end of a long day living in this hellscape, sometimes warm and fuzzies are the only thing helping us sleep at night and get up for work in the morning. Fuck off with your intellectual nonsense.

Mine also has a free movie streaming service, kanopy. Ya know, for those of us boycotting Netflix. 🖤

If you think the message from those books is “turn into a gargoyle” to fight the baddies, your reading skills may be the issue—not the writing. Also. In which book do ppl turn into gargoyles? Gotta add that to my TBR. 💁🏽‍♀️

120

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Because when you tell those lil shadow-daddy-, fairy-smut-loving women they’re coming for their books, the revolutionaries in their stories told them EXACTLY how to fight back. Why do you think all the booktok girlies are at the gym?!

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

I wonder how they’ll communicate, “I’m sorry I can’t feed you, Sparky. The orange man’s pointless tariffs and killing of key fundamental health agencies have made it too expensive and dangerous for you to live.”

Just checked out your feed. I wish you’d include links to the articles/videos you’re responding to. Your sassy quips are funny but idk what half of them are about. 🫣

I’m working on a few things myself — stickers and a pamphlet— that can be easily printed and shared with pithy little sayings and the link to the site. But we need a place to share / find resources like this for niche audiences—moms, booktokers , blue collar workers, folks in the post office... 2/2

150

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

We need resources for IRL information dissemination. Pamphlets, stickers, etc. that can be customized. A QR code would be helpful. So would a site with more specifics about each of these topics. Many folks not on this platform or TT have no idea this is going on. 1/2

But I’m also changing my elections for 2025 so a lot less is taken out. No taxation without representation. 😘

000

Ashley Clark @ashleycclark.bsky.social · 30/01/2025

Most taxes for regular employees are taken out monthly. So when you file you’re just validating what you already paid or whether you owe more. I’d at least start the filing to see where you land. I’m getting back $4k so filing is getting my money BACK from the government. 💁🏽‍♀️

Teenage me would be like, “We get to read whatever we want? Whenever we want? Without interruption? FINALLY!” And then she’d start a genre- and life-stage-specific TBR.
