I just love talking about stuff and I'm wordy. I love writing ten paragraphs about a game and picking out screenshots to go with it. I love rambling on for hours about a show. I love conversations that last for days. There aren't many outlets for someone like me. Discord/Bluesky doesn't fit that.

Eh, nevermind. I'm officially letting it go. I could complain for hours about the direction Era is going in but there's no point. They've made their stance clear. More and more people will leave the forum as they grow uncomfortable with the culture that has been allowed to nest there. It's done.

Lanterns was really good. Not up there with LOST or The Leftovers but I liked it a little bit more than Watchmen. Of course I did like Green Lantern comics as a teenager and I like True Detective so mixing those two together with a dash of Lindelof Writing was always going to land for me.

If Final Fantasy XI got the kind of support World of Warcraft got, I'd be playing it nonstop. If there were a FFXI Classic, FFXI Treasures/Goddess Classic, and FFXI Forever... all while Retail FFXI had kept evolving and getting content... I'd have characters on each one.

Was excited to see Apothecary Diaries S3 has started only to also notice Steel Ball Run had come back like over a week ago and is already on Episode 3. Wow, nobody seems to be talking about that at all. For all the build up and hype it had it just seems to sort of be here. That gap was a mistake.

Castlevania demo was alright. There's something "off" about the dodge I can't quite place. Took me a few tries to beat the boss. But the whip platforming after was fun. We'll see. If it doesn't click at least Bloodstained 2 is on the way.

Can we go back in time and stop people turning "walking simulator" into a negative term? I ask this because Silent Hill Townfall should have been a walking simulator. Or, more specifically, a game where you explore a spooky town solving puzzles and uncovering a story. This game didn't need stealth.

This setting in Control Resonant is very frustrating. I feel like the obvious option should be to NOT display a persistent small dot at all times but to have the crosshair marker for abilities. But they're tied together. Either you always have the dot or you have NO markers, including your lock-on.

I've been no lifing Fortunes Weave all weekend. My goal is to finish Leda's Act 1 before Control comes out and then break for Control and Silent Hill before returning to do a different Act 1 before Castlevania and Final Fantasy. I won't see Act 2 until like March lmao

I think I'm walking out of Resident Evil a little more lukewarm than most. I do think it's a good movie and it had some great scenes but... I cannot stand the trend of needing to end every serious scene with a joke. It's trying way too hard to be funny and it becomes predictable and goofy.

I feel like we take worldwide simultaneous releases for Japanese games for granted now. It wasn't too long ago a game like Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave or Persona 6 would come out and we'd have to dodge spoilers for 8 to 12 months while waiting for the localization. We've come far.
