Sketches from two weeks ago, lol This girly is such a mess. She's not even my favorite character, but I just HAD to draw her after watching ep 9 #jax #tadc

FINALLY sat down to finish this piece. I inked it by hand in december and then scanned it to fix up a few spots and play with coloring it. Here they are in order: Original Cleaned Up Greyscale Color Anyone have a favorite? #ghost #dansemacabre

#traditinalartists how do y'all take photos of your art? I feel like I'm missing something to make them look better...

The biggest tell that Floyd is gay is the fact that he turns the visual of his trauma into fashion. Bruh didn't even change his pants for the finale 🤣 #trollsbandtogether

I finally started reading Castoff (by @thestarfishface.bsky.social ) and this was the exact moment I knew I had found my favorite character. Sage is a walking disaster of a man and I love that for him. #castoff #castoffwebcomic

Did a little research on how to take better photos of traditional art and this was a vast improvement #traditonalartist #fanart #2000sanime

Just added some finishing touches to these studies from an anime called Munto. It's really odd, but I just love the vibes and look of it, especially all the reflections, it's really pretty.

The last thing from last semester to share - the cover for my final portfolio! This was based off of a Bettie Page comic cover and the girl in red was based off of her when I drew her in Dinnertime. :D

I really challenged myself for this comic to make it with as few panels as possible (I almost pulled off having no panels, but not quite.) I was also trying to push the black spaces, textures, and backgrounds, which are all things I don't have as much confidence in.

Ah, the horror comic assignment. This is my partner's fav thing I've made this year. I really tried to push and play with the shadows. (P.S. the monster is also female, meaning these are evil murder lesbians together, hee hee hee)

Colored version of the cover for Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (a follow up from the ink version I posted yesterday)

Study of the cover for one of my favorite manga, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Doing this exercise really made me soak in and appreciate the use of hatching in Ashinano's artwork, it gives so much definition and I def will be trying to incorporate that skill into my art more often.

A 2-page comic about a very optimistic and clumsy elf named Maeve and the tall, buff blacksmith single mom elf, Nadia, whom she is in love with.

Old assignment for drawing your creativity demons answering the question "What stops you from drawing?" One represents fear of not being good enough and the other is perfectionism, which are really two sides of the same coin.

A page I drew this last weekend that I really like, featuring my babygirl Fluttershy. I've been trying really hard to let myself just HAVE FUN with my art lately and it's been really nice. #mlp #fluttershy #sketchbook

All of these sketches of Fluttershy were made with three copic markers (a sea green, a pink and a yellow) and a pen. I also used different screenshots from the show as direct reference for each pose and expression.

I've been wanting to learn how to use dip pens to draw for ages, so I was super excited to work on this and overall really liked how it came out. :)

A remake of a page from #BettyandVeronica I actually really like the screentone I added to this, was the first time playing with that and it actually working. This was one of the first comic pages we did for my comic class this semester and was the first thing I drew with dip pen. (1/2)

Veronica asking Betty, "What if you get frostbite?" as the girls take a walk out in the winter afternoon.

"We could get cozy under your nice warm blanket!" Veronica continues, wrapping her arm around Betty's shoulders.

But Betty happily answers her girlfriend's trepidations: "Don't you get it, Veronica?"

Betty grabs Veronica's shoulders.

"That's why it's called the present" she says and Veronica marvels at the idea.

"Gee, I never though of it like that, Betty!"

For Thanksgiving weekend, we're watching all of Lord of the Rings (extended editions, of course), so here's my little blob hobbits from 2022. #lordoftherings #thehobbit

Three tired hobbits, made without lines and kind of messy.

Another memory based comic. I only used three colors for this one (a nice challenge) and was pretty proud of the first two panels. #summer #comic

A quick 1-page comic about the time I jumped off a bridge.

My final comic from last semester. While I like the girls, I'm so glad to have left the brush behind for inking. It just doesn't give me the control that I want.

Maddie, page 1.

A black-faced sheep girl pumps herself up as she walks into a cafe.

Maddie, page 2.

As the black-faced sheep girl enters, someone calls her name. She, Amber, excitedly chats with Maddie, a Pomeranian dog girl.

While slightly flustered, Amber asks Maddie to go out with her, which Maddie finds endearing. She says yes and the two enjoy the rest of their date together.

The cafe smells like coffee and breakfast.

My dog is such a silly little guy. This story was from... I wanna say 2016ish? He just turned 12 this year and has (mostly) left his summersaults behind. #puppo #sillydogmoments

A memory from about 8ish years ago, when I convinced my baby brother and roommate to go to the dog park with me. Technically, it's a combination of two separate memories, but I miss both of them - my brother left years ago, and my roommate passed away. It's small, but meaningful to me.

I wanted to capture this moment as a happy memory.

In the end, it's still kind of sad that neither of these people are in my life anymore. I miss those days.
