About those experiences, full of razorblades that forge your mind to be stronger, I would bite you. Like a lot.

Ash, Shroud handholder 🔞 @ashergrove.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

It reminds me of chronically on Tumblr people who think every story about a black person needs to be about the black experience and you suck and are sugarcoating things for palatability otherwise, but like frankly if someone told me my stories with people who have ADHD or are transmasc had to be

Which is to be everything and anything. There is nothing, only your hands and tools and you and then there will be art.

Ash, Shroud handholder 🔞 @ashergrove.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Sometimes I feel like there are people with the "art should be weird" take that think art always has to stress you psychologically and make you think in unpleasant ways or its not true art and I agree there should be art like that, but to think art should serve a specific end is antithetical to art.

At least I'm not paranoid it's my fault or anything, for 3 of them it was legitimately chance things happening that made moving to the person unfeasible, like the room they were gonna give me turning out to be unusable or space issues

Tried watching a bit of the ogres bride and even as a darkfic lover I can't get into it. Having no one really question the stalking and dubcon aspects just makes it feel more awkward, like I'm eating an over kneaded bread slice with nothing on it instead of some quick and dirty wish fulfillment.

anywhere from 4 to 20 hours. I almost never do a fully rendered painting in one sitting, though. It takes me at least a few unless I'm really in the zone, and I can't think of any art acquaintances who do their pieces in one go either, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Reminded of @anmaii.bsky.social s idea about hummingwire and Eli switching bodies temporarily in the enclosure au. I love the idea that cade tells Eli he doesn't want to tell anyone they swapped and lies, saying it's so he can fuck with the others- but it's really so he can see how each person
