He’s been with us for a while now but we’d like to officially welcome Mike McGinnis as our new Rhythm Guitarist, replacing Ryan (who is on drums). We’ve also just rebuilt our website just in time for our new release!

Ya I can’t wait to show of the parts that he did, the teaser doesn’t actually reveal any of it lmao, it’s a surprise. We will probably drop another teaser 😝

Thanks a lot! We are stoked to release it. Single should be coming this month with the EP to follow 🤘

Instead of using a traditional overhead configuration, I went with the XY capsule on my Zoom H6 Essential, placing it just above the cymbals at the front of the kit. It gave me a full, balanced capture—and best of all, I didn’t even need to bring my laptop. Don’t forget to follow 🤘

Earlier this week, I shared part 1 of tracking drums for our upcoming EP. Today, I’m diving into one of the tracks—“False Idol, Hollow Crown”—and breaking down my overhead mic setup. #blackmetal #drummer

Last week I tracked drums for all 4 of our tunes from our upcoming EP. Now I’d like to showcase a bit of the process in a 4 part series giving a sneak peak at each track from the release, starting with Crows. First you’ll hear the raw drum tracks, then processed, then in context. Follow us🤘

Did a little project the other week of removing all the wraps on these drums, giving them a light sand and then staining them all. Turned out super nice, can’t wait to play them during practice on Monday

Ashen Pall @ashenpall.bsky.social · 11/05/2025

We have a new EP in the works btw. Stay tuned for more info soon! Now that I’m drumming we will be tracking drums for this release 🤘

We just wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone that has supported our music so far. We’ve noticed a lot of people that buy our stuff on Bandcamp go above and beyond and pay sometimes even double the prices we are asking for. It’s hugely appreciated!

Ashen Pall @ashenpall.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

Ashen Pall is no longer looking for a drummer! Our Rhythm guitarist who used to play drums (me) is now playing drums again. However, this does mean that we are now in search of a Vancouver-based rhythm guitarist. Must be able to play live and also collaborate remotely

Them: "What’s your favorite high-gain amp?" Me: "Marshall Origin 50." Them: "Dude, that’s not high gain." Me: [cranks every knob, slams three boosts, summons dark forces] "It is now."

lol ya I need something that holds up to extensive tremolo picking. Our fastest track is 180bpm and there are extended 16th note tremolo picked sections. I’ve tried so many picks and these are definitely where it’s at, not too big, not too small, thick af

Ashen Pall @ashenpall.bsky.social · 14/03/2025

I’ve been using these picks for months now. They are kind of expensive but they are the holy grail of guitar picks.

Swapped out the midnight 60 in my origin 50 for an Eminence Swamp Thang and the difference is massive. Very happy with the new sound. First clip is the stock Celestion, second is the Swamp Thang. on.soundcloud.com/pbSpqsGvDmYJ...
