I have a big update to share - starting January 2025 I'm joining the fantastic Virginia Tech Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation as an assistant professor - excited to start linking urban hydrology, legacy sediment, and runoff origins!

We modeled the movement of a conservative tracer across a hillslope before and after stormwater control measures were constructed, and found that during all storms tracer mass arriving at the outlet was reduced due to SCMs. However the % decrease was small (<5%) in high intensity storms (>16  mm/h).
Two chemographs (top and bottom) displaying the arrival of modeled tracer from two locations at a model outlet. In solid lines, the chemograph shows tracer modeled without stormwater control measures, and in dashed lines the results from a model with stormwater control measures are shown.
