Interesting. I see it as someone who likely waited in line or at the host stand patiently(?) for the next table to become available, stacking my dishes nicely to be bussed is a D curtesy. It’s the same collaborative, willing nature. I’m not expected to wash dishes but I can help move it along.

I believe this is reflected most in 360s and in feedback from code reviews, even collaboration in team meetings. These are suggestion followed by action individuals. They are locked-in and predictive.

As we just rounded out our company values, my cofounder and I anchored in on this Betterment concept explicitly. As a startup, we don’t have room for people who are not operating IN the room with us. Great analogy, Angie! And astute observation!
