Does anyone know of any way to get into assisting with bird ringing, i've asked a few local based on BTO database but none ever got back to me about it. It's something would always like to get involved with (on top of everything else i do)

Not quite where one of the rarest bats in the UK should be resting. Concerned public called after this fella hasn't moved in days, and wasn't exactly in the best location in a underpass with roaring traffic on top and people walking past. @batconservation.bsky.social

When was in Devon there were a few cattle egrets in amongst the rubies. What was fun to see was as the egrets approached the cows would lower their head and lay them down to give egrets better access to get the flies

Sleeping with my windows open, and in the woods means I keep waking to moths right above my head. I'm not zoomed in, I sleep very close to the ceiling so they're right here. There's about 15 different moths around.

At least two of the ospreys seen were unringed. Couldn't get the third. We left 20min later two of the ospreys still around, third one left. A colleague was with me, her first time seeing ospreys so she was excited to see and hear them @harbourbirds.bsky.social @dorsetraptors.bsky.social
