Upvoting Thumbtack for home-related skilled work. I once ordered a dresser not realizing it wasn't going to be like Ikea. Incomprehensible directions, 100 pieces. Found a guy on Thumbtack that happened to be a trained carpenter who figured it out! Plenty of smart, qualified freelancers out there.
