I wonder how many younger anime/manga fans realize that "Weeb" comes from "Weeaboo" which comes from a comic strip in Perry Bible Fellowship that has zero to do with anime, and then 4Chan got real weird about the strip and made the mental leap to call anime fans they hated "Weeaboos"
