Car update. Insurance is working me over. The total cost of repairs from the shop, $2250. The insurance estimate of repairs, $1069. They sent me a payout of $819 as my deductible is $250. I'm out of pocket over $1400... Along with the rental, I'm sitting at over 3k in the hole.

They found my car yesterday at 2am abandoned. Got to check it out today, they only stole some loose change and a small knife. Everything else was there. They trashed the back seat with wrappers and junk. The car itself has no damage aside from the steering column.

My boy Captain fell today. He couldn't stand, hold his head still, he scrambled and wobbled. Rushed him to an emergency vet. Right now we have already put in $1400 on his care. Doctor isn't sure what's causing it, labs are clean with some mild elevation. Worried it could be brain bleed/swell.

So plumbing issues came up, ended up having to drop near 10k (from a loan) to pay for them. Found out through the work that our shower has rotted drywall and needs to be torn out and rebuilt. First estimate on that was 11k. Gonna be getting a few more estimates. 😭 We'll get through this. 🫩🔥✊
