Growing up, looking for friends had always been difficult, and when I did find them, the friendships didn’t always last… It’s why it scares me each time I make a new friend, because something always happen. I am who I am, but why do people stay around and talk to me??

I need to stop bringing up how much I hate the game Lufia, otherwise things will only keep getting sour. Like I mentioned a few times, I nixed it from my streams, so it wouldn’t affect anything else. I will work on moving on from it while only saying, “The game was not for me.”

First time I’m bringing out the PS1 for my streams tonight! As nervous as I am about it, I also really look forward to this! I have a surprise game for everyone, but before that, I’m testing out the formatting as we are going original hardware with it, so we’re starting it off with the first Tomba.

Never have I dropped a game on stream before, but it happened. So I began streaming Lufia & the Fortress of Doom after I finished my FFVI revisit stream, but the more I played the game, it really started taking away all the fun energy and became toxic. I’m no longer playing it, and it’s relieving.

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

We’ve found ourselves another heavy, boys! This time, it’s Tomba 2! It should be in somewhere around next week, and I look forward to adding the game to my PS1 library!

Am I the only person who genuinely cannot watch or even look at Digital Circus without getting the most excruciating headache? It makes me feel bad, because people love the series, and when I try to watch an episode, there’s just too much going on, so it hurts…

I know people are trying to be helpful when they say to use modern consoles or emulate when gaming or streaming, but having been a retro gamer for the longest time, it feels discouraging. I want to play games on their original hardware as long as I can afford it. Plus, modern doesn’t feel the same.

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

I have not-so-popular opinions, and one of those would have to be that my least favorite Alice in Wonderland adaptation is the Disney version from the 1950s. I don’t hate it, but I just honestly think there are better adaptations elsewhere.

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 10/04/2026

I haven’t ever touched on Chained Echoes, because the game got too hyped up for me, and I’m also unsure, because it gives off modern day anime, and that’s been slowly sliding away from my interests. Or maybe modern RPGs are not for me, and I’m just stuck in the past as always…

010

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

It’s been an entire year since I began streaming retro games in front of a crowd! I’m truly thankful, and happy FFVI played an important role of leading me to a light of hope back in 2024 when I was lost and broken. I even told chat yesterday, and cried for how thankful I was. Thank you all so much!

I’m not normal, okay? This is what happens when I’m given anything Terra and Kuja. I love these two so much!!

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 16/03/2026

A quick sketch of Cloud and Aerith. For the longest time, FFVII was ruined for me, due to toxicity, so I couldn’t enjoy it at all. Slowly picking it back up, I’m starting to enjoy it. It is my first time playing through the game, but I am taking it little by little, enjoying the game for what it is.

I feel like Ariel with her grotto, except instead of treasure that she collects, it’s a bunch of retro games that are filling up the grotto.

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

I swear, whenever Dissidia is brought up, I become a creature of the night. Although I only played NT, but that game series made me ship Terra and Kuja, then I just said, “I love these two!” Square really pushed that one, and all I can do is screech, blush, and laugh like I’m crazy. Omg.

We started streaming FFVI PR last night, and things got pretty emotional for me… I look back at when I first started streaming OG FFVI, I was really shy and nervous right as soon as I clicked Go Live. Going to now, I feel super upbeat and comfortable each time I start my streams.

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 24/02/2026

I’m still working on getting over my fears, but it’s been difficult. The sad part is that I’m used to being shamed by other people since the past, but those days are over. I know that I have good friends now, but I still have that bad mindset that needs to go. I’m also still working on improving.

000

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 21/02/2026

We beat EarthBound a couple nights ago, and we’ve also got a line of games to pick out! But first, we’re playing FFVI PR as our next stream to celebrate one year of me streaming! Once we get to the middle of the game, I will have a survey ready for which game we should stream next. Thanks, everyone!

000

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

I’m surprised by how short EarthBound is! Anyways, I’m streaming the game on Twitch, and yesterday, we made it to the beginning of Magicant, so tomorrow night might be the last session for that game. After that, FFVI PR will be up next as a revisit to celebrate my 1-year anniversary of streaming!

Hey, guys! I finally ordered a proper case for my loose copy of Wild Arms! I searched every direction for an authentic one while so many of them were repros. No manual, but I’m okay with that. I just needed a case for it.

Ever since I started playing Lunar for the first time, a bunch of friends and other people had been talking to me about it, which is now the most discussed game around me, so far. It’s crazy, but I’m super happy to own these games, as well as trying them out! #retrogaming

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 16/02/2026

I honestly hate it when past things come back to haunt me. The one past that keeps coming back is when I talked with one ex-friend. He hated everything, and due to him, my insecurities come back, so when I bring up something I like, but one person doesn’t, I start to panic and feel ashamed.

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

Last night, when I was streaming, I had someone hop into my chat needing some comfort, so I helped them settle in while I continued to game and talk with chat. It truly makes me happy to know that my streams not only bring joy, but also comfort. And I hope to continue providing that for everyone.

Imagine trying out a game that all your friends enjoy, but you’re the one person who doesn’t enjoy it. Yeah, that’s me with Chrono Cross. Tried it out, but sadly dropped it, and now I can’t join any Chrono Trigger conversations, since I couldn’t stand CC.

I’m hoping for everyone who is being affected by the snowstorm, especially for all my friends out in Texas, please stay safe!

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

Ever since I started streaming, not only did my Twitch channel start to grow, but so did my game collection. I mainly play on OG hardware, and it feels new whenever I buy games with the new thought of: “I’m finding games to play for my streaming job.” But I’m happy it’s been going well, so far!

100

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 28/11/2025

I enjoy showing my interests and passions for everyone to see, and finding others all around who also share the same interests, as well! But I can understand why some wouldn’t like being compared to others, either positive or unfavorably. I’m fine with being compared, as long as it isn’t negative.

000

Aryn Anime @arynanime.bsky.social · 22/11/2025

I honestly hate being the blame, because I was born a certain generation. Whenever people say it’s all Gen Z’s fault, then I feel like I’m at fault when I’m out here busting my ass off to be myself. Reason I’m not in too many convos about anything, because I feel out of place. We need to do better…

Made a base for my Schala wig! I just only have to add some few more details to it, while the leftover wefts will be sent over to the styrofoam ball to make the ponytail. Hair monster is almost done! #ChronoTrigger #SchalaZeal #Cosplay #WIP #RetroGaming #OldSchool #Fanmade
