This evening, we had to make the decision I was hoping wouldn't happen for many more years. We said a very tearful goodbye to my soul cat, Lucy. She was with me for just over 13 years and helped me through Keith's illness and death. She never asked for anything in return, just pets and scratches.

My mom got her pathology results back. While it was cancer, it was stage 1 and hadn't spread. They also got it all ❤️ it was wonderful news to hear and my family is immensely relieved. Thank you all for your words of support and encouragement 🫂❤️

Bad news: my mom has kidney cancer Good news: it hasn't spread, and her surgery is at the beginning of January. I am feeling very overwhelmed. As you all know, cancer has taken several family members from me. I don't really know how to take this news. I was hoping against hope it wasn't cancer.

If you have any extra good vibes or words of support/encouragement, can you send them our way? A large mass was found on my mom's right kidney. If it is cancer (doctor is treating her as if it is), it hasn't metastasized. So that's one positive.
