One of my BS quilting friends showed a quilt a few weeks ago that she was going to finish after many years of sitting. Her quilt has some of the same fabrics as my unfinished quilt. My quilt had a very large, very dark outer border. I took the border off, and the quilt sprang to life. All finished!

Woolen clothing in the Medieval era were infrequently cleaned. It may come as some surprise, then, that wool clothing lasted a lifetime and was included in the estate of deceased. Fast-fashion would have been sci-fi to the women, who probably would have considered not only wasteful & bizarre. 💙📚🪐🚺
