I drew a bird today, and was pretty happy with it I don't often do digital painting, I find it difficult and annoying, I like pencils, but I challenged myself Being happy with it, I sent it to my dad, who was pleased with it, until I told him I did it on a drawing tablet. That makes it less good 🥲

Tumblr post by sunderwight: The current AI situation is like if the people who were pushing NFTs had successfully gotten everyone to start referring to any and all digital transactions as an NFT, thus allowing them to pretend that things like online shopping, downloadable video games, bank transfers, etc were closely related to convincing middle-aged would-be techies to invest serious money in ugly digital paintings, and hold the former examples up in defense of the latter any time someone pointed out that the whole NFT thing was a racket. What do you mean NFTs are bad, don't you want disabled people to be able to use their phones to have medication delivered to their doorstep? Wow. Horrible of you, really.

I have to have a little vent. I hate that cutting off mum would mean cutting off dad too. I love my dad, he's awesome. But having any kind of contact with my mum is so destructive to my mental health to that, since she's been messaging me more lately, I've been averaging 3 hours of sleep per night.

One of my favourite part about meeting people here in Japan is introducing them to the Welsh language, it really does blow their minds 😅 I've started comparing it to the Ainu language in Japan because people don't usually believe me at first when I tell them it's completely different to English...

Realistically, I know the step goal thing is bullshit made up to sell pedometers and health watches... but I have a watch that tracks my steps and I'll be damned if I don't hit my step goal every day. It's upped itself to 17,000 steps per day now and it's bloody 35 degrees out.

Growing up in predominantly middle class areas in the UK, there would always be a protest whenever a factory or warehouse was being built. "Not in our beautiful countryside!" They'd always say. But the same people were the biggest customers of the companies wanting the warehouses.
