Gioco semplice ma non banale, adatto a tutti, divertente e rapido, forse un poco sul lungo ma decisamente una delle esperienze ludiche che mi sono piaciute di più nel 2026

@juergen_hubert I see a trend in making ttrpgs luxury items: hardback books with glossy full-color heavy paper pages and foil covers were not the market standard bitd. I don't think players want publishers to burn their margins, but maybe publishers could make more affordable games AND still […]

I really disliked Nolan's Odyssey. I think it's a very bland and boring movie, often incoherent, that fails to efficiently and credibly convey its main points. Better luck next time.

Sorry, Allen OSRL I saw the best minds of the OSR destroyed by Confusion, starving hysterical unequipped, dragging themselves through the goblin tunnels at dawn looking for an angry potion, Half-elf murderhoboes burning for Contact Outer Planes with Modrons in the machinery of Astral night...

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 33 All in all, I think it's an excellent job, something worthy of at least 4 out of 5 stars. I'm not saying 5 because I want to curb the fanboy in me, but I think this has become my favorite edition of Shadowrun to date, and certainly the one I'd call "the best." #ttrpg

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 31 Although I've been fairly critical at times, the love for SR shines through all the pages. Some people have objected to the price of the KS (the pdf especially), after all I think I've paid what is fair but also that prices could have been juggled around a little […]

#Shadowrun Anarachy 2.0 part 30 Powder Keg could have been much better, as well as much shorter, which would have allowed for an enriched bestiary. Fortunately, the game comes with adventure generators. It's not easy to fit a setting, rules (especially rules that cover so many different things) […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 29 I appreciate the layout, even if it's crowded and not particularly imaginative, as well as the illustrations, even if they're often a bit bland. I found this in-setting presentation of the material a bit annoying, but it can be overcome, and it's part of the […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy2.0 part 28 In my opinion, there's a threshold below which SR simply can't be simplified without diluting the mechanics to the point of completely vanishing into the fiction. Would that be a bad thing? Not necessarily, but as with the removal of Seattle, I think many old fans […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 27 So what do I think about it? It's ultimately a solid Trad game (I say so without disdain; in fact, SR has always been a Trad game, I think the flaws often associated with this style of play are more attributable to the GMs than the rules) mixed with perhaps some […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 Part 26 Last comes "Powder Keg," a mini-campaign. I won't spoil anything, but this chapter is gor me the weakest point mainly because: 1. There are walls of text where possible actions and related tests are buried. 2. The campaign contains events that happen "no matter […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 25 We then return once more to "internal narrative" mode to talk about Seattle for about 20 pages, which seems more than adequate. A home city is necessary; Seattle is perhaps a bit predictable, but it's also the one everyone expects. Chicago, Hong Kong, or Berlin, to […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 24 After that, we once more exit the presentation from inside the setting to find a chapter dedicated to NPCs and metacritters with the evocative title "Hell is Other People." This chapter definitely doesn't shine. Its layout is a bit too spartan, it's sparse in its […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 23 In another 45 pages, the Virtual World and Mechanical World do the same covering the Net, Ice, programs, drones, and vehicles. These seems as thorough as The Arcane World, although rules for Technomancers are missing. This may not be much of a loss if you (like me) […]

#Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 22 With the chapter "The Arcane World," we're two-thirds of the way through. #Sjadowrun Anarchy 2.0 part 20 As a comment on Shared Storytelling rules, the distinction between Scene and Event is quite blurry, I must say. Also I'm not sure this was the best it could have been, but it seems functional. "The Mundane World" chapter changes the layout back to black-on-white […]
