The alternate versions of Ava have always existed 😄 It's just that a copy of them pops up in Nexus City when one of the Ava's steps in for her consciousness to take control of.. it's a really weird phenomenon.

-them. So original Ava controls two consciousness, and AU Ava gets the other two. It’s very tripy, I imagine 😂

Yeah! So.. what happens is that Ava’s alternate selves exist elsewhere in their own respective realities, doing their own thing. If an outsider like Ava steps into the city, the Prism splits Ava’s consciousness into copies of her AU selves. If another AU Ava steps in, they split the load between-

-realities aren't really there in the same space at the same time. The alternate versions of them are off living their own lives doing their own things. For example, if Ava walks into Nexus City, she'll suddenly exist in 4 realities, taking on the form of her AU counterpart.

Okay so this is where things get complicated.. So the residents in Nexus City aren't affected by the split. But any outsiders that set foot in the city find their consciousness being shared between four different realities. It's because the version of themselves that exist in their respective-

It's because these realities still exist in their own worlds. So when Ava steps into Nexus City, she steps in as four alternate reality versions of herself that exists somewhere on their respective realities.

There's an infinite amount of other possible realities, but only these four were merged together out of pure randomness 😁

The alternate realities have always been there 👀 Over time, people within those realities make different decisions, creating a kind of domino effect that caused them to develop their tech and society differently.

The four different realities are: 1. Tech advanced civilization (Red) 2. Post apocalyptic cyberpunk (Yellow) 3. Modern day Medieval (Purple) 4. Mystic advanced civilization (Teal)

Mostly the timely action of the hero 😄 if he’d waited any longer, the spread of the Prism's power would have reached halfway across the world

A lot of people.. can't really handled that kind of multidimensional multitasking, so they don't really get many visitors. 😄

And so, Nexus City was born. A unique city where multiple realities exist simultaneously, each following their own path and developing into something different. Outsiders would find themselves like the hero, split into four different realities sharing one consciousness. (8)

The hero found that his consciousness has been blended together with his alternate selves, allowing him to exist in four different realities simultaneously. Everyone else around him didn't seem to have that problem. Each version of the same person seem to have their own personalities intact. (7)

- they each grabbed a shard, clenched tightly in their fists, and brought them together through the rifts. The energy bleeding out from the tears in space fused the Prism together, blending each reality into one space, somehow coexisting with one another. (6)

Before his very eyes, reality fell apart around the hero, bleeding into each other, trying to fight for the same space. Through the rips in reality, he could see three other versions of himself, all with the same horrified expression on their faces. In a desperate attempt to fix it- (5)

But he was caught, by the King's guards, and was about to be killed for treason. Before he was struck, the hero raised the Prism, which shattered upon impact with the axe, breaking into four separate shards. Reality around them immediately fell apart, rips in spacetime torn asunder. (4)

The continuous use of the Prism thinned the layers between realities, causing rips and tears through space/time to appear. Fearing that the Prism would bring about the destruction of the world, a hero stole the artefact and fled the country, hoping to destroy it. (3)

The United Kingdom had recently unearthed a powerful relic: the Paradox Prism. It had the power to undo past events, creating ideal situations. Needless to say, everyone wanted to get their hands on it. Countless battles were fought, with each use of the Prism bringing more and more chaos. (2)

Okay so this happened centuries ago, dating back to Ava's great(x8) grandfather's time as the Web Warrior. The world was war torn, and every country was trying to get their hands on all kinds of powerful artefact/weapon/superhuman they could find that could turn the tides. (1)
