Inktober Day 5 — Smack 6 hours of drawing and the meme is here! It is also 5 AM and I'm technically late for today, but it’s not actually late as long as I haven’t gone to sleep yet, right? #inktober #inktober2026 #illustration_daily #dailydrawing

Inktober Day 4 — Cactus I always thought that cacti look like dancing creatures! And I learned today that the plural of the "cactus" in English is "cacti" By the way... Me during ideation: gotta keep it simple Also me: create a mask made of 788 tiles for a disco cactus! #inktober #inktober2026

Inktober Day 3 — Miniature The first thought was ttrpg miniature. It's Barnacle — he's from recent Daggerheart adventure we played with friends. And yes, he’s unpainted — as is often the case with most miniatures. #inktober #inktober2026 #dailydrawing

Inktober Day 2 — Relic I thought of "Cryogen Relic" from MTG. Yes, I like blue decks — you're free to hate me. I wanted to pick simple objects that I could draw quickly. And then I choose relic with PERFECT CIRCLES ON A SPHERE. No shape tools or masks were used... I also can't draw ice for life 🥹

Internet was already full of fakes from the very beginning. And now, when AI floods it with even more worthless content — people can’t trust anything. It is quite sad from both viewer and creator perspectives

Making games alone is fun, but it's also unnecessarily hard. For a long time, I thought collaborating meant having a budget and a studio. But turns out, well, I was wrong!

I was browsing old notes and found an unfinished D&D-themed poem. Finished it today. Short and without much of a deep meaning behind it, but finished. Because we don't like incomplete works, right?

I’m at the point where I want to share intermediate results of our project with other teammates but I also don’t want to spoil it and I’d rather save it until the project finished, so they could see it as a whole. I’m itching to show you guys but I’ll curb the urge, I’ll handle it!

I was thinking about projects section name for my personal web page. - “projects” felt too generic - “portfolio” too official - “workshop” too confusing - “forge” too pretentious - “hub” too broad

Voice actors, a random questions: who is familiar with the game PEAK and would be willing to record a small dialogue for a video about collaboration? The entire script is under 250 words, and you may pick whatever role you’ll like after reading it.

Imagine the world where Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys handle the same navigation actions across all your apps, and you don’t need to suffer a neurological seizure every time you switch between them. What a dream!

Daggerheart GMs who use FoundryVTT, do you have any free campaigns that start at Tier-1? I just run The Sablewood Messengers this weekend and I want MORE! I’m hyped to finally start writing my own adventure but I also would like to try running a few good representatives of the system to get a grip

I just noticed that my Obsidian Plugin that helps to create quick links got 3k downloads already! It might be not a big deal, but for someone who started to share things on the internet with other people just recently — seeing these numbers blows my mind!

Fellow FoundryVTT users! I just ported a Quickstart Daggerheart adventure. First time sharing a module, phew it's cool that Darrington Press released The Sablewood Messengers for free. I want to run a game for friends to get familiar with the system. So might as well share the setup with you

Do you guys forget that you did draw or write something? I was browsing my gallery and found this saved 3 years ago. I don’t remember it at all. I read a poem in my notes the other day and also couldn’t remember writing it. Such a weird feeling.

I play DnD with friends every week, but lately I’ve been getting this DM itch. So today I was tinkering with FoundryVTT again after a long break — such a great feeling.

Never have I thought I’d be arguing with an artist about why using generative AI is an evidence of a bad taste and lack of artistic self respect.

Today I walked up to the bus stop and wasn't sure if my bus stops there. So I pulled out my phone to check the route on the app. It turned out it does, but when I looked up, my bus was already leaving. I just hope it does not happen much often with other things in my life

Artists, animators, and sound designers, what do you think about a small low-stakes unpaid collab? I’m used to work solo, since I simply can’t afford a team yet. But I wonder is it possible to connect with strangers from the internet and create something simply for the love of the game.

I’m 28, and I quit my job to start exploring game dev. For now it’s better to be anxious about depleting savings, and nurturing my passion, rather than be anxious about dying passion, and be calm about growing financials. Does it even make sense to you?

Last few days were fun! I was working on a personal web page that I could use as a central hub for posting my writing, some notes worth sharing, and game details. I don’t expect huge traffic, so it is awesome that I can have personal web site for free at this point. artieficr.vercel.app

We might be natural martians! People isolated from day-night cycle tend to stretch their inner sense of a day to ~25 hours. It was discovered upon observing people's behavior in bunkers where natural cues are blocked. 24 hours, 39 minutes, and 35 seconds — the length of a day on Mars.

People strive to create authentic content, but when they don’t get enough appreciation — they get discouraged. I think we can celebrate disappreciation as well! It means we found something in ourselves that resonates only with a few. But it’s there, and it’s valuable for ourselves.

Thinking big is great, and not everyone knows how to do it. But thinking SMALL? Oh boy, that’s a different challenge. Bsky posts’ characters limit does teach me how to convey a message in a brief form. Let’s appreciate the platform that helps us write concisely.

I saw a post about how ultra realism artists draw water droplets on a face a lot, asking why is that so. I believe that’s because water provides a great room to reflect exaggerated features of realism. 135 mm lens is on and now we can capture all wide pores, sweat and apply selective bokeh.

This is Cheesomination — another character design assignment from the last year. It looks like something a child would draw. And I guess it was in fact my inner child messing with combining things.

Last autumn I took a character design course, and one of its challenges was to combine two previously unmixed things. I took Hornet as a character and Hades as a style.

Hot take: being a beginner these days doesn't feel like the start of a journey, but a constant struggle of falling behind. And when people fall behind they want to keep up. And when people try to speed up their progress they harm own creativity.

Happy accidents are so fun to come across! When I was editing my last video I narrated in VO: “That’s the gap Default Mode Network SLIDES in” … and Volt was sliding in the footage that played at that moment. Wasn’t planned at all, but it’s such a cool little detail. The video: youtu.be/5sWM6d096hY
