one donkey power is defined as 250W, so one donkey power-minute (or minute of ass) is equal to 15kJ. the energy density of gasoline is around 34.2 MJ/L or 129.5 MJ per US gallon, therefore we can conclude 1 gallon of gas actually equals 8630.7 minutes of ass
((34.2 megajoules/liter) * (1 gallon)) / ((250 watts) * (1 minute)) = 8630.738868

In the centre, the Sun is totally eclipsed and the corona is visible. The background is dark but not totally underexposed; various fields, forests, power lines and buildings are visible in the distance, occupying around the bottom quarter of the image.

There is 1 letter "j" in the word "Canada" (C-a-n-a-d-a). [the last A is in bold]

However, if you are asking about the country as a whole, it contains zero "j"s.

can't believe they added cat ears to c++ :3
Changes that have been accepted into C++26 include:

Language

- Compile-time reflection.[9] (An experimental fork of Clang by Dan Katz, as well as GCC 16, implement these features. These compilers as well as another implementation from EDG can all be tried through the Compiler Explorer.) This uses a new operator ^^ (colloquially called the "cat-ears operator"[10]) for invoking reflection, rather than the Reflection TS keyword reflexpr.

oh yeah here's Artemis II's full trajectory visualised in KSA (darker blue line)
A screenshot of the map view of the spaceflight simulation game Kitten Space Agency. There is a blue line which goes around the Earth in an eccentric orbit before making a loop around the Moon (or rather, where the Moon will be) before returning to Earth. (This line is generated by a mod based on the Artemis II orbital ephemeris published on the NASA website.)
In the centre of the screen there is a marker labelled "Rocket", which is located at the current position of Artemis II within the Earth-Moon system (as of 2026-04-05 02:21:19 UTC). From the marker there is a green line (which turns into a light blue line after getting close to the moon). (This is KSA's prediction of Artemis II's future orbit, which doesn't quite match up with the real orbit in darker blue because of the approximation of orbital mechanics KSA uses.)

i love the silly little post it notes in this game :3 (screenshot based on Artemis II's real-time position)
Screenshot of the inside of a spacecraft cockpit in the game Kitten Space Agency. There are post-it notes on the inside of the cockpit, saying "moar boosters!!", "mow mow? -meow", "control stuff goes here -Banjo", and "RTX ON" with a drawing of a cat. A crescent Earth is visible in the distance from one of the cockpit windows.

KSA's default moon orbit is based on 2025 data and isn't very accurate for tracking Artemis II, so I've added a custom system that uses up-to-date lunar orbit data.
A screenshot of the spaceflight simulator Kitten Space Agency. It's similar to the one in the quoted post, but the rocket's trajectory gets much closer to the moon (which is now labelled "Luna_Artemis2"), and visibly loops around it. (Also, the version number on the OemLoader window is now 0.0.5-alpha.)

Artemis II's real-time orbit in @ahwoo-official.bsky.social @deanhall.bsky.social's Kitten Space Agency
A screenshot of the spaceflight simulation game Kitten Space Agency in its map view. There are various complicated-looking gauges, buttons and windows around the edges. The focused window is titled "OemLoader 0.0.1-alpha+ffb34e0a6ece9d252a475c2fa9". In the middle of the screen, there is a zoomed out view of the Earth and the Moon. Near the Earth, there is a marking that says "Rocket", with the rocket's future trajectory (taking it around the moon) visible as a green line.

can anyone explain why the Pi Pico SDK's printf thinks pi=2 when called from inside a panic handler #raspberrypi #embedded
Desktop screenshot with two terminal windows. The left window has a text editor with some C code:

#include <stdio.h>
#include "pico/stdlib.h"

void handle_panic(void) {
    printf("%f\n", 3.1415926f);
    while (1);
}

int main(void) {
    stdio_init_all();
    sleep_ms(5000);
    printf("%f\n", 3.1415926f);
    panic("test");
}

The right window shows a serial communication session with a Raspberry Pi Pico. The Pico has printed

3.141593

(The last number should of course also be 3.141593 based on the C code.)
