An explanation on why Big Walk isn't available on Xbox. bigwalk.game/xbox

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
House House

Dang I forgot the city was called Marzipan! That makes two formative pieces of media for me that have marzipan in it lol

This is fair. Not before we have an epic sakuga fight though

Marceline the Vampire Queen also influenced my name choice....

I shortened it to Mars (or Marcy) when it finally clicked with me I was trans, and didn't want to be named after a dessert...

I landed on the name Mars because of Marzipan from Homestar Runner. During my "Im making all my video game characters women for no reason at all" phase I would always name her Marzipan because I thought it was pretty.

Yes!! I didn't even know it was an option until I met a cool trans masc in my senior year of high school! From then on I realized I was missing something. Trans visibility is so dang important 🏳️‍⚧️💖

Peter Browngardt, the creator of Uncle Grandpa and writer/director of The Day the Earth Blew Up has a new post worth sharing here since he doesn’t have a Bluesky account:

Peter Browngardt posts a drawing of Uncle Grandpa putting a revolver in his mouth, then replying to himself with “Another merger…”

I haven't stopped thinking about this image, so I had to do fanart of it. RIP buddy 🪦

A pencil sketch of a cartoon wizard laying on his back, X's in his eyes indicate he's freaking dead. There's a hole in his chest with... something... gushing out of the hole and pooling around him. Gross.

This has evolved into me needing to buy a computer that runs windows XP so I can enjoy Lego Loco again. It doesn't have an official modern port! The best port is a fan remake that isn't finished :((((

Thinking about how much I love space and aliens tonight (lowkey part of why I went with the name Mars) Invader Zim and Lilo & Stitch were so important to me as a little awkward neurodivergent kid. I always struggled to fit in, it felt like being an alien sometimes. I think that's why I clung to them

I did like the woven texture, the little beads over the rim of his hat are cute too. a lot of the texture is really thoughtful and nice, just gets a bit too busy sometimes. I think I might come around to it in time we'll see

They def could have toned down the detail by like 20% for sure, their eyes are so wet and detailed it freaks me out 😭 some of it is pretty though!
