Anything more pointless than the HSBC trusted list which is prompted every time I purchase something from the same sellers each week?

Think this is a first for us. During August we were worse off on Octopus Agile than if we were on the price cap. Still better off for the year, and with the price lag to hit the cap next quarter.
Octopus graph showing the usage and various prices during August 2026. Main outcome £109.06 on Agile, whilst £104.55 on Flexible.

15th August 2029 is the latest, my daughter might have the chance for it to be the first time she votes having turned 16 towards the end of July.
Date of the election
Under the Dissolution and Calling of Parliament Act 2022, the prime minister has the power to request the monarch call an election at any time during the five-year length of a parliamentary session. If the prime minister chooses not to do this, then parliament is automatically dissolved five years after the day it first met, and a general election is held 25 working days after dissolution. Parliament first met on 9 July 2024, meaning that unless Parliament is dissolved earlier it will be automatically dissolved on 9 July 2029, and the latest an election could be held is 15 August 2029.

It shows, although the text is probably smaller than what was in the graphic.
Screenshot of the alt text showing.

a 2016 tweet from Matthew Anderson @matandersonbbc: "Things native English speakers know, but don't know we know" followed by a screenshot of a book. "Adjectives in English absolutely have to be in this order: opinion-size-age-shap e-colour-origin-material-purpose Noun. So you can have a lovely little old rectangular green French silver whittling knife. But if you mess with that word order in the slightest you'l sound like a maniac. It's an odd thing that every English speaker uses that list, but almost none of us could write it out. And as size comes before colour, green great dragons can't exist."

The BBC getting my hopes up in the article about the cost to Sp*rs if they get relegated. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...
But they will simply not be able to charge the same amount for an opening day fixture against a side like Lincoln City - who are currently chasing promotion from League One - in the second tier in August, should they ultimately finish in the bottom three, and a drop in attendances would likely occur too.

These Gmail have pulled the meta data and added it to your calendar are pretty useless, this one today has the location as my house in Newark as that was the Address in the receipt email. And other times events that last many hours only show as one, with no ability to edit.

Hate it when Royal Mail are used for a parcel. The tracking assumes that the postman will deliver in the morning, but most times it is not him. It also has it down as still in Nottingham, but history suggests that it's probably in Newark on a van.
