artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Anyway, I hope brief thread about Minecraft building references was helpful, let me know if you want any more tips for looking for build inspiration! 010
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 26/09/2026- Movies you like the aesthetic of plus set design - Architectural styles like Brutalist or Art Nouveau - Countries or better yet, cities. Tokyo, Prague, York etc - Buildings eg Sidney Opera House, The Forbidden Place etc. - Museum collections! Often these are royalty free 110
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Narrow down your search terms and know where to look. Google and Flickr are okay, legitimate stuff will usually belong to an artist or photographer. Search Terms: 100
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I often have pureref open on my other monitor when I’m building in Minecraft, it helps to see other builds I’ve designed and my reference images. 100
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Build your reference library however you like! - Fill folders on your computer - Use a free program like milanote to make mood boards - I use www.pureref.com which has a small, one time payment, but is really good for making boards of reference images! 100
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Also don’t rely on algorithms to feed you good references or inspiration - algorithm not friend, algorithm gobble attention. Start building your own library, organise it however you want, but I find it useful to keep a txt file in my folders to give proper credit to artist. 100
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I don’t think you should get your ideas for building from other Minecraft builders. Like, yes they’re good to look at to see what styles other people build in, but ultimately they developed that style through practice, and… References references references!! 🧵 120
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 23/09/2026My Twitch almost has 500 followers! So close... so close... 180
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Weird fact about me, if I'm editing footage without music, I like to listen to white noise. Specifically, the sound of the Enterprise Engines from Star Trek. What can I say, it works 🤷 160

artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I’ve been extremely inspired by everything @snifferish.bsky.social is doing at the moment! I’m shockingly awful at building trees and terrain, but I’m hoping that I can learn from others and get really good at it in this next season of Truly Bedrock! 140
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 09/09/2026If you're willing to spend an afternoon on Youtube Audio Library, there are some decent rock and country tracks. I also use Kevin Macleod's website incompetech.com I have lots of 8bit music, and sound effects from Pixabay, free but again, use with caution. 000
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 09/09/2026In case you were wondering... downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundt… (it is supposedly royalty free but still, use with caution) 110

artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Question (mostly) for full time content creators; How often do you stream in a week? And do you use any of that footage for videos? 🤔 011
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Only streaming today this week chums! 7PM BST | 2PM EDT as usual. My wonderful in-laws are having a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration this weekend 😍😱 140
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 06/09/2026My husband asked me what I was doing and I said ‘just contemplating’. Apparently he thought I said I was ‘Quantumplating’. Just considering my options across time, space and the multiverse, don’t mind me. 030
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I just wanted to finish by saying thank you to @trulybedrock.com - a lot of us have families, and knowing I could go away for a while to have a baby and still be welcomed back was one of the many reasons I am still in this space today. Thank you friends!! 130
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 05/09/2026It’s okay to take a break, or take time for yourself. I built streaming consistency over a large span of time, but everyone gets sick or tired sometimes. You don’t have to work yourself to death, no one will thank you for it. Everyone does actually want the best for you. 110
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 05/09/2026If you ask for help, people will come. I had members of my audience teach me redstone via chat, and other server members help me with projects I couldn't do alone. I would not still be creating if I wasn’t surrounded by amazing people, friends and audience alike. 110
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 05/09/2026It’s okay if your ideas are too big, and you have to change them. I set myself an ambitious goal of creating optical illusions for my base, but I never did them. I don’t feel sad about this, because I actually did finish my base, even if it looks different from my original idea! 110
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 05/09/2026It is possible to build a large base if you pace yourself! A problem I’ve always dealt with is getting everything done now now now, or give up. Streaming consistently has meant I was able to chip away at big projects over time, or even work on other things if I got bored! 110
artemis8bit.bsky.social @artemis8bit.bsky.social · 05/09/2026After streaming consistently for a year for the first time in my life, I’ve learnt some things 🧵 150
