I recently gave a talk at the OCaml Workshop called “JSON parsing in OxCaml: fast, but not too fast.” The companion post: pianykh.com/blog/posts/2... Some of the “not too fast” part may be a skill issue. Fortunately, investigating skill issues is where a lot of the interesting stuff happens.

#EuroLLVM was a lot of fun! Also my first time presenting at an LLVM conference. The talk titled "Accidentally quadratic in compiler-rt/asan" is about a perf improvement that's been impactful at Meta cutting startup time of dev binaries by 2-5-10x.

I have published a new blog post to explain what benefits Spring developers can expect from the next-level Spring null safety support based on JSpecify and NullAway. spring.io/blog/2025/03... It will be available for general consumption in the upcoming Spring major version at the end of the year.

I've been off social networks for a while. Is Bluesky where everyone went? Or evenly spread between Twitter/X, Threads, Mastodon, and now Bluesky too? So much confusion.
