Just noticed that one of the later versions of Windows wouldn't just keep the old icons but would also… simplify one of them! Here's the first aid kit icon from both Windows 95 and 10 – the one in Windows 10 doesn't have the red cross! But why did they decide to get rid of it?

Yeah, funny enough I never saw Office 95 in any school computer. Perhaps there weren't really computers back before I started school. At home, we jumped from Office 95 straight to 2000 and when I was attending school, some default autocorrection settings in Office 97 there would annoy me.

My first Office ever used! What I find exceptional in that one is the title bar – in most, if not all, Office 95 applications, it'd enforce the black gradient starting from the left and the "Microsoft" word displayed in italics. Looks so cool Oh, and I like how they handled tips as its own toolbar!

Also, if I play those APC files from the beginning on MPC-HC with K-Lite Mega Codec Pack on board, they'll be quite loud but if I don't pause but instead move the slider anywhere past the beginning, it'll be much quieter. The detected codec is adpcm_ima_apc.

And the funniest thing it's not one music file being played like it'd be with any other game but in fact… a sequence of them! cant_04.apc→cant_01→cant_10→cant_11→cant_01→cant_01→cant_10→cant_02→cant_03→cant_01→… It's described in the TWA file. Just a clever way to save the space for the game :P

I actually know it because in my childhood I happened to watch one episode on Polish TV (it was a single person voiceover) and then after many, many years I accidentally found it on YT again. And then after looking at your art of various characters, I found Tom missing and thought you may like it!

Dunno about Romanian but the Polish keyboard layout on Linux already has a lot of those chars you can't directly type on Windows. On Windows (2000–11) though, I use my own layout created using MSKLC tool: www.pecetfull.pl/plkb.php Then on Android, I use Microsoft SwiftKey and just hold certain keys

Oh, I know what you mean! I once bought a Polish copy of Office 95 in floppies and it already complained that the copy was used multiple times by another user and couldn't let me change it. The solution was to find some other Office 95 image (the UI language doesn't matter) [1/2]
