Here's a portrait of the great Dirk Benedict that I finished last week, just in time to meet him in Liverpool on Saturday and get an autographed copy! 🙂 Painted entirely in Photoshop - roughly 40 hours' work. #battlestargalactica #starbuck #dirkbenedict #digitalart #noai #scifi #1970s #comiccon

🧀🧀🧀HAPPY WORLD RAT DAY!!!🧀🧀🧀 (Yes, it's actually a thing.) For extremely silly reasons I won't go into, this is something we celebrate in our household, and each year I draw a card for it. Here's a few of them... 🐀 #rats #worldratday #greetingscards #digitalart #noai #ratsofbluesky #ratlovers

A cute cartoon depicting a parody of the Statue of Liberty with a cheerful rat holding a box of crackers and a cheese knife.

A cute cartoon of a rat hugging an oversized heart.

A cute cartoon of a rat in a party hat bouncing on a space hopper decorated to look like the planet earth.

"Going My Way?" Another one done for Halloween a few years back, with a nod to classic pinups. 🎃 Would you pull over? 🤔 #digitalart #noai #highwaytohell #Halloween #devilgirl #hitchhiker #devil #demon

Sketching practice with coloured pencil. I always loved hearing Mr Lynch talk about the arts - he seemed to be someone who lived and breathed them, and just saw beauty everywhere. Reference photo credit: AFI fest publicity #traditionalart #noai #davidlynch #coloredpencil #sketch

I've always loved Alien - it's one of my all-time favourite films. So of course I was overjoyed when I heard that Tom Skerritt was visiting the UK, and did this portrait especially. It was wonderful to meet him. #alien #xenomorph #nostromo #tomskerritt #fanart #digitalart #noai #ridleyscott #horror

My portrait of the great Tom Savini in his iconic role from From Dusk Till Dawn. I was over the moon last year when Robert Rodriguez shared this illustration on his social media accounts. It's such a fun film. 🦇🦇🦇 #fromdusktilldawn #tomsavini #robertrodriguez #horror #fanart #vampires

Each year, I do a Halloween card to send out to friends and family. For me, Halloween's always about the more fun side of horror. 🎃 🎃 🎃 #Halloween ##greetingcards #zombies #cheerleader #digitalart #noai #party #horror

This was the first illustration I did (in 2007) that I felt was actually of a professional standard. Even now, I think it's still a decent image. It's based on the Amiga game Weird Dreams, by Herman Serrano and James Hutchby. #digitalart #weirddreams #surreal #nightmare #noai #retrogaming #amiga

Everyone's favourite evil doll! 🔪 I first went to put a lightning strike as the background to this one, but realised it'd be too similar to an existing piece by @jasonedmistonart.bsky.social. I think the red splats work, though. #chucky #childsplay #horror #goodguy #digitalart #noai #braddourif

Always check behind the sofa before putting the scary movie on... The squidgy lovecraftian thing was fun to draw. 😁 #horror #alien #lovecraft #halloween #filmnight #popcorn #movies #digitalart #noai

A tribute to the classic arcade game, Out Run. I did this one a while back - my style's changed a bit since, and I'd do a few things differently now, but it still seems quite popular with fans. 🚗 🌴 🌞 #outrun #retrogaming #digitalart #noai #ferrari #Sega #arcade #1980s

Here's one from a few years back. I think the first Tomb Raider was the one that had the biggest impact on me, and the lost valley section with the dinos was probably my favourite bit. 🦖 #tombraider #eidos #playstation #retrogaming #laracroft #digitalart #noai #raptor

A painting of Lara Croft swinging from a rope with one hand while firing an uzi at a leaping dinosaur with the other.

Hello Bluesky! My name's Bones, I'm a freelance artist based in Manchester, UK. I guess I'll upload my portfolio onto here over the next few weeks, but here's one now to start everything off. #introduction #art #digitalart #noai #retro #scifi #1950s
