Yup, that's why I just treat gamedev as a hobby. Imagine trying to make a living in that... Even if one game is successful and it lets you live for next few years, chance of your secondo ne repeating the success isn't a given. Even if you'd work hired someplace - constant fear of studio dying.

Well, there is a point there, but if there's leadarboard in game, at least you can see how someone achieved better score and try to learn from it! Anyways, in my Dark Roll 2 you can just race against your own ghost too - or set it so you race against the player directly above you in ranks.

I love paying attention to detail. One of my levels has dripping goo from the ceiling... Not only I've added splash particles on collision contact - they also leave decal spots that slowly fade out after a dozen of seconds or so. #indiegame #gamedev #devlog #Unity3D
