This is a drawing a friend did of my Grandmother from a photo I posted years ago. I love it and it reminds me that she carried the egg for my mother and my mother had the egg for me and I had the egg for Dana. Women really do hold the future. We need to be held in a lot higher regard.

In Oaxaca even the dogs get painted. This is from my last trip to Oaxaca during Day of the Dead. A couple with their dog. It's one of those rare hairless dogs from Mexico. Happy Halloween and Day of the Dead.

Great Egg Drop Soup 3 c water 1 spoonful chicken bullion white part of green onion heat together add 6 splashes of fish oil 3 splashes of soy sauce 2 splashes of sesame oil stirr in a circle add 1 beaten egg slowly add cilantro and green onion small amount of chili crisp So good

Looking at this Huichol art I realize how much it is like Aboriginal art. They use symbols of the land and spirit to tell stories and teach and carry on the magic. This connection to the land we have lost and I think maybe our art is a way to bring it back.

Wanted to share with you the best stain remover I've ever used. My dear friend Linda told me about it and it really works. You get it at Ace Hardware. It got chocolate stains out of my white pants and a yellow stain out of a friends jacket that had been there 3 years. If you have stains get this.

Love this book and highly recommend it to anyone that wants to expand their consciousness. I studied Processwork when I first moved to Portland and loved it. Haven't done it for a while and now this book is reminding me how powerful we all are. Easy to read and do the exercises. Wanted to share.

Did an interesting exercise using my tarot book. Scanned my body and looked for a place that called my attention. It was a hump on the back of my spine. I had it choose a reading it chose The Moon. I used my body not my mind to interpret it. It said "The Mystery of life is the important part enjoy"

I like asking the Universe for advice and inspiration. I use my tarot book and these inspirational messages a student gave me. I keep them in a small Japanese lacquer box. Today I pulled "You can say yes." I love it and will look for what I will say yes to today. Thank you universe.

I learned to smudge when I was in Medicine Wheel for 10 years. There are different kinds sage, cedar and sweetgrass. I will start doing this again sage and cedar for getting rid of and sweetgrass for bring in good things. These are my smudge sticks and sweetgrass braid.

This is a magical painted wooden porcupine I bought in Oaxaca 40 years ago. I'm attracted to Porcupines and even dream I have a porcupine suit. They are one of my power animals. They help you maintain boundaries. They are protectors.
