Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Just played ten games of Overwatch. Won two. Yeah. I think I'm going pro. 020 2
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 06/08/2026Returning to Overwatch after a couple of years and I'm fairly sure that Blizzard just doesn't want me to play this game. 030 3
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 15/07/2026I've yet to dislike a single Evil Dead movie I've seen and Evil Dead Burn doesn't change that trend. Very strong first two thirds. It loses steam at the end but not enough to take away from how much I loved getting there. Very similar to how I felt about Evil Dead Rise. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 06/06/2026Literally the first time I watched any of these video game trailer shows live and whoo boy. Technical issues, sure. But a shit ton of reveals that genuinely interest me. Insane. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 20/05/2026An uninteresting take that will gain no traction due to how dull it is: The Boys finale was fine. It was one of the stronger episodes of a season that improved on S4. Should that final confrontation with Homelander happened in S3 with Soldier Boy being the Big Bad of the last two seasons? Probably 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 07/04/2026Resident Evil franchise and Instagram make for a real weird experience. The franchise is so all over the place tonally and Instagram commenters are really weird. This combo has resulted in me seeing EVERY reaction possible to that upcoming Zach Cregger Resident Evil movie. 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 31/03/2026Oh, no. Fallout: New Vegas had been working flawlessly (after a dozen or so stability mods and unofficial patches) for a week. Now it has crashed three times in two days 😵 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 22/03/2026What the fuck is up with Microsoft? Everytime I've tried to access my email this month, I've had to reset my password. I had to reset it five minutes ago and Microsoft asked me to reset the password IMMEDIATELY. Literally within a single minute of resetting the password I have to reset it again? 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 18/03/2026DLSS 5 is an apology for people like me. Back in the day, raytracing upset me because my GPU couldn't run it. It looked gorgeous. I was upset. Now DLSS 5 is here. Sure, my PC won't be able to run it. But thankfully DLSS 5 looks like shit so I won't be jealous of the weirdos using it. Thank you. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 11/03/2026I'm never doing a Herbalism/Alchemy combo in World of Warcraft Classic again. A profession can't be this fucking boring while being this fucking pointless at the same time. I just flew around Terokkar for roughly 30 minutes and found ONE (1) Herbalism node. Jesus Christ Blizzard. What the fuck? 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 21/02/2026One of the funnier Olympic narratives on social media as someone who does NOT follow figure skating is Alysa Liu. How she retired only to come back for "one last job" and took home gold. The tone the discussion has taken and my lack of knowledge of the sport made me think she's 30+ y/o. She's 20 😭 200 2
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 03/02/2026I finished The Roottrees Are Dead. Sort of. I unlocked additional content (Roottreemania) and I didn't hop into that immediately. Never played a game like it (though I own Return of the Obra Dinn which inspired it and I'm planning on playing it) and I had a fantastic time. 110 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 30/01/2026My favorite part about Star Wars is that George Lucas thought that "Anakin is the chosen one" was a good idea. Because you have like two decades of him being the Space Nazi Executioner and then he protects his "genes" and that redeems him in the eyes of the Force. 110 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 30/01/2026One of my acquaintances is Fallout New Vegas fan and I made the mistake of sending him a Fallout related meme. I was then subjected to paragraphs of whinging about respecting the past and raging about Bethesda. I interrupted him twice saying that I do not care. He did not care about me not caring. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 29/01/2026It has been a genuine surprise to me that World of Warcraft Classic is kinda just fucking boring. I could swear this game was way more fun and exciting when I played it as a teenager. And I'm not talking about the general "I liked it more then". The progress feels GLACIAL 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 28/01/2026Why am I legitimately tearing up? 😅😭 Silksong... What a game. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 27/01/2026I don't know why but I hate WOW Classic quests that are like "get 10 pieces of this enemy's anatomy" and then the droprate is like 10%. If the drop rate is that low, say that it's an accessory that SOME of the particular enemy tape carry. How many earless centaurs can there really be? Huh!? 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 26/01/2026It annoys how stubborn I can be in video games. Every single time I play a difficult game that I like, I keep forgetting the "if you get frustrated, do something else" lesson. Silksong is probably the first game I've done it with from the get-go and it has made the experience so much better. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 20/01/2026I don't get it. I could not bring myself to 100% Hollow Knight because I was just burnt out by the game by the time I got to face the final boss. I thought that the remaining 20% can remain. I'd rather leave the game loving it than leave the True Ending having begun to dislike the game. 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 10/01/2026Unfortunately, I am seriously considering getting a World of Warcraft subscription once more 😔 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 28/12/2025Haha. Beat them. And beat the gauntlet at the end. Only cost me my sanity and peace of mind. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 28/12/2025Used a simple key at Deep Docks in Silksong. These enemies are atrocious. I have taken damage OFF-SCREEN because the AOE of the blasts is legit stupid. Astonishingly dreadful experience. They fly (usually over lava), the projectile cooldown is minimal, and they tank like 7 hits before going down. 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 22/12/2025Oh, my God. No. I finished my daily SIlksong yesterday by beating my head against the only wall present for me. A boss I struggled with. I got through that wall. I boot up the game today. IMMEDIATELY ANOTHER BOSS. WHYYYY? I'M NOT IN THE MOOD. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 19/12/2025It's been an embarrassing week to be a Finnish person. Thankfully (sarcastic) the OBVIOUSLY racist parliament members got a STERN (slap on the wrist) warning for their OBVIOUSLY racist conduct! This country is filled with idiots. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 19/12/2025I mean come on! I've said this once, I'm saying it again. Larian has made three of the best CRPGs of the past decade 2014-present day) without AI. The only thing AI adds to their workflow is that the least imaginative artists in their payroll look more productive. Like... Congratz? 010 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 18/12/2025Rolled credits on Hollow Knight for the first time. Fantastic game. I sort of want to keep on playing because I missed a lot. But I've also sort of burned myself out a bit. And I did it without doing the hardest parts the game has to offer. I'm scared that I'll just ruin the game for myself. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 17/12/2025I don't think I've ever been as lucky as I was when by RAM decided to crap out on me at the beginning of the year. Managed to get 32 gigs for 50 euros. The same set goes anywhere from 150-300 euros now. Jesus. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 16/12/2025What's the damage with CEOs? Divinity: Original Sin was released in 2014 and it was amazing. Larian reaches near-perfection with D:OS2 three years later. Repeats that with Baldur's Gate 3. What Larian was doing was working. Why is Vincke "pushing hard" on gen AI? It sounds dumb. Is he fucking dumb? 020 2
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 08/12/2025Returned to Red Dead Online with a couple of friends. Unfortunately a Halloween update released a month ago apparently just introduced a glitch where your posse gets disbanded in like 80% of the online activities due to an error. So we're playing multiplayer mostly alone 🥲 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 06/12/2025The open weapons in Battlefield was a mistake. What do you mean literally every medic in the team is camping at own base with a sniper? That's not a medic. That's an idiot. Worse than that. That's a useless idiot. Contributes literally nothing. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 01/12/2025My Disco Elysium replay ended super abruptly because I'm doing a "I'm The Law" playthrough and I made a very responsible choice to arrest a certain someone who is very manipulative and I still felt like shit. I haven't recovered. It's been two weeks and I've not managed to open the game. I'm weak. 010 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 28/11/2025I downloaded the free trial of Battlefield 6 last night. The custom search wasn't enabled for me (just took me to buy the whole game). Got the same map three times in five games and uninstalled. Annoying. The bones are really solid but the maps, apart from Cairo, just lack that something. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 26/11/2025I finally finished Final Fantasy XIII. I owned the game first on PS3 so it basically took me 15 years to finish the game. I enjoyed it for the most part. Some truly repetitive levels in there. I'm reminded of the Ecological Research level which was the same corridor copy and pasted ten times. 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 20/11/2025I love the modern trend of mixing slashers with weird genres. "Happy Death Day" with the slasher time loop. Sequel with the multiverse thing. "Freaky" with the bodyswap slasher. "Totally Killer" with the timetravel angle. Yesterday I watched "Heart Eyes" which blended slasher and romcom really well. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 19/11/2025I have to give The Game Awards props with handing Konatsu Kato a performance nom for Silent Hill f. I don't think I've ever seen a non-English nomination. I rarely pay close attention to TGA so I might have missed some. Easily the best performance I heard this year. Absurdly good. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 10/10/2025I knew it was coming but reading articles about Battlefield 6 stating that DICE took the useful spawn beacon from the mostly useless Recon and gave it to ASSAULT is such a mistake. Recon has teetered on the edge of uselessness for ages. Spawn beacon was basically 90% of that little usefulness 💀 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 07/10/2025First playthrough of Silent Hill f done. A really, really good game where I think I have a fairly good idea about what the story is about but can't say with certainty. Which is usually how it goes when you put me and Silent Hill together. Looking forward to New Game+ and getting the other endings. 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 26/09/2025That goddamn scarecrow sequence in Silent Hill f 💀 Amazingly creepy. 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 18/09/2025I talked about a certain aspect of Alien: Earth I didn't love on Reddit. Just an aspect. Not a big part of the show. Definitely not a deal breaker. Someone replied "Other people like it". I'm kinda stunned. This person is not wrong. But like? Okay? What? 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 17/09/2025I feel it's not great that we are 7 episodes into the season of Alien: Earth and I kinda honestly just don't care about a single character. The concepts the show explores are interesting. But I'd love it if I cared about the characters the show uses to explore them. Dunno. 010 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 12/09/2025This game has been an extremely strong contender for my GOTY for months now. Even with its unfinished story. I have a feeling that "contender" is going to change into something else in a couple of weeks! So excited! 010 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 12/09/2025Youtube's search is so annoying nowadays. I searched for something really specific and it just listed random videos. I thought maybe there's just nothing like what I searched and Youtube gave up. So I tried something else. I figured I'll pick a single word to search: Bloodborne. 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 12/09/2025I finally read Station Eleven, years after I watched the HBO Max adaptation. I really like these stories. The book is a short one and it's such an optimistic take on the apocalypse. The show is that as well. And it goes even harder on the optimism. 110 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 17/08/2025Friends and I had one of yearly LAN parties. We also did our yearly five Dead by Daylight matches. We sucked. Truly awful performances. Uninstalled the game. See you next year, Dead by Daylight. Can't wait to loop killers and buy my friends five seconds because I'm awful at the game. 010 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 14/08/2025Good news Call of Duty fans. The new Battlefield 6 Beta map is basically "what if we took a couple of Call of Duty maps and mushed them together. Bad news Battlefield fans. The new BF6 map is what I described above :) 000 0
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 10/08/2025If Battlefield 4 was "Battlefield 3 but worse", Battlefield 6's Open Beta is suggesting that the game might end up being "Battlefield 4 but worse". Good news for the BF4 fans who, for some reason, are unaware that the game still exists and is alive. 100 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 06/08/2025Man... I reaaaaaaaally played Battlefield V. Jesus Christ. 010 1
Arska @arskapoika.bsky.social · 29/07/2025Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 beaten! Best game I've played this year. Combat is super fun when it doesn't demand parrying (this only happens in some optional fights). Characters are fantastic. Story is great although the big twist didn't land all that well for me. Buy it, play it, love it! 000 0
