The budget deadline for care funding is June 15th and Sacramento is on the verge of cutting the programs our communities depend on. Call your lawmakers today, 9 AM–5 PM, and tell them CA's caregivers and the people they serve will not tolerate cuts to care funding. ☎️Numbers in the first comment.

The story of Maria de Jesús Estrada Juárez is about the dignity every immigrant family deserves. It’s about the pain of being torn apart. And it’s about the power of speaking up, standing together, and coming home.

DACA Recipient Returns to California After Judge Rules She Was Unlawfully Deported to Mexico
DACA recipient Maria de Jesús Estrada Juárez has returned to California after a federal judge ordered the Department of Homeland Security to bring her back, ruling that her deportation to Mexico was unlawful. U.S. District Judge Dena Coggins said her deportation was a “flagrant violation” of her DACA protections. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program is supposed to protect undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children from deportation. In February, Estrada Juárez was detained during an interview to obtain permanent residency and deported to Mexico the next day. She has lived in the U.S. for nearly 30 years. DHS has deported dozens of DACA recipients since Trump’s return to office.
