PSA to all of the the salty former Pokemon fans... No, Digimon did not come up with "Mega Evolution". There are Mega Level Digimon, yes... which were originally called Ultimate in Japan... but nowhere in the entire franchise is "Mega Evolution" or anything similar used as a term.

Getting back into Digimon and diving into the fanbase, I have noticed something interesting. Whenever a new Pokemon revealed, there's at least one guy trying to criticize it by saying "it looks like a digimon" Never once have I seen a Digimon fan say that new Digimon "looks like a Pokemon".
