BUBSY in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (SNES NC) finished. I've rented this in the past. Knew what I was in for. Anything in terms of controls I remembered from back then still persisted (bad). And I did forget that almost everything can kill you. Running through it, short and not great game.

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Banjo-Tooie (N64 NC) finished. Never played it before. I heard that the levels were large and I agree. I never felt I learned areas because of their size. There were a couple of spots that I got caught up on (door wouldn't open, couldn't find a thing). Otherwise...it was okay.

Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution (Story/Modern Mode) completed. Despite forgetting where a few things were, I managed to shave off about 2 hours from my Classic playthrough. The HD character portraits and UI were great. A short and sweet adventure in the world of Sequin Land.

Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution (Classic Mode) completed. It felt so good to be back in the universe of Shantae. Took a while to get into a groove and get used to the shifting mechanic. And collecting everything felt simple. Going to replay it again in Story/Modern mode next.

Played Royal Vermin (free-to-play). It's a simple platform fighter; pick up things, throw them at your opponents, knock them off the stage or survive the traps. Rack up enough wins to be the best of the junkyard. 2-4 players locally. Not horrible, not fantastic, not much to it.

000

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Toree Saturn finished. The most refined of the batch of Toree games. Tons of references abound (lots of SEGA ones). Got almost all of the characters unlocked and couldn't get all A ranks (at the least) to unlock Gold Toree. Just like the others, short and sweet 3D platformer.

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Toree's Panic Pack (2/3 games) finished. Toree Genesis was not bad. Toree Jumbled Jam 2 was very challenging. Toree Missions...my goodness were those stages intense. I was able to do all except the last 3 missions. This definitely puts your Toree talents to the ultimate test.

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

09.17.26. HeXagon sub-unit meetup (BAN). - Lao'd District (Lao'd Jerky) - Popfancy - Sweet Memes (Dalgona Coffee Nutella Toast) - Eve Pink

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Toree 2 finished. Great sequel. I was surprised that I got a couple of B ranks. Flew around to get all the hidden CDs. The main levels were great. Those Bonus levels was where I spent the bulk of my time (darn lightbulbs). But this was more of the same and that's a good thing.

Toree 3D finished. Knew of the series, but never played it until now. Controls were solid, level design was on point, respawns/restarts were fast, and the sense of speed was nice. Collected all the stars in every stage, but couldn't do better that a C rank. It's short and sweet.

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

09.15.26. Cookielicious (vanilla bean ice cream inside a vanilla glazed chimney cone filled with cookie butter, chocolate chunk cookie dough, chocolate sauce & an XL chocolate chip cookie).

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Star Fox Adventures (GC NC) finished. First time playing it, but I knew of it. It's okay. It took a while for me to get into. I got lost plenty of times, the combat was weak, subtitles were off sync, and the story was bland. Didn't know there was a point of no return. Not the greatest 3D Zelda game.

09.12.26. Random adventures w/CP. - Spa World - Kanau Sushi (Miso Soup, Popcorn Shrimp Roll, Jasonroll, Skewers, Sushi Tower) - Clickbait Exhibit - Japan Festival - Lumpia Bucket (Pork Lumpia & Tita Ruth's Filipino Spaghetti) - Hella Bubble (Mango & Passion Fruit Green Tea w/lychee jelly)

Ranma 1/2 (Netflix season 2) was a fun watch. While more characters were introduced, I favor season 1 more. Not that anything bad in particular happened, but I wasn't as invested. I still liked everything in terms of presentation and how stylized it is. Ready for season 3.

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Crush Crush completed. Started on 02.10.23 on stream 872. Slowly idle in the background for 3 years. Getting 1-3 diamonds a day was the biggest time sink. Spent around $20 real dollars to unlock some characters. Last thing done was the sacrificial ending; poetic. 4655 hours.

Donkey Kong Jr. Math (NES NC) completed. I've played this a few times in the past. There's not much to it (a calculate and exercise mode). Calculate/Versus is where it's at if you have two players. It's fine for what it is. You're not missing out on anything if you never try this.

Played EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27 (Game Trial). There's a lot good in this game. Accessibility options, commentary, controls, fast and snappy, gameplay, etc. It's easy to jump into and can be very technical if you play that way. Copy and pasted how I felt when I played Madden 26.

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Mario vs. Donkey Kong (GBA NC) finished. I feel like I've played it before, but don't recall when. Fantastic puzzle platformer game. Trying to do everything is tough and I didn't attempt the post game levels. I was satisfied with what I experienced in the base game. Thumbs up.

Donkey Kong Land III (GB NC) finished (?). This was okay. More of the same. But then I tried to unlock the final stages. It pretty much required doing everything. Had I known that, I would not have spent an extra hour making the attempt. That soured my experience with this game.

Donkey Kong Land 2 (GB NC) finished. Better than the first game mechanically. I didn't realize until way later that the Select button was tied to secondary animal abilities as well. There was a lot to collect, but I wasn't motivated to do more than I did. Good handheld game.

000

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Donkey Kong Land (GB NC) completed). Never played any of the Donkey Kong Land games before. It's impressive with what they were able to squeeze into the handheld. Definitely not polished like the SNES version. And no ending even for 100%? That was a shock. A decent game overall.

000

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Played Faaast Penguin (free-to-play). Not bad for what it is. Normal tropes of buying things with real money or in-game currency and tons of things to unlock. The racing game was fast and simple. The climbing game was fine, but would be better with a party. Plus you're a penguin.

000

ArnellragasA @arnellragasa.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Star Fox finished. This game is so gorgeous. While very familiar, the challenge was definitely there. Took 4 runs to access each stage. Only earned 2 medals my instincts (and lack of abilities) was fine without tackling any challenges. It was great being in the Lylat System again.

Best Friend Forever finished (Anders). The tradition continues. Played this game once a year romancing each possible partner. The final person; Anders. The final dog; a racoon I named Rocket. Good stuff as always. Cheers for fast-forwarding the majority of repeated dialogue.

Watched 30 For 30 | Nature Boy. I knew a lot of the information they talked about already, but it's always refreshing hearing different perspectives and interviews I've not heard before. Couldn't help but tear up when they talked about Reid. Good documentary. Thumbs up.

Played the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta. It was fine. It's Call of Duty. I'm not good at first person shooters, but the game played well. I tried the mouse controls and it works, but I wasn't good with it. Out of Multiplayer, Campaign, and Warzone, I was okay at Campaign.
