Also when blocking, you have to block in the correct direction or you'll get crossed up Underking is a great fight to learn clash timing and crossup blocking on; also you can effectively option-select his lateral swing so you can either block crossups or jump over the spinslash

Still working on learning all the boss patterns in #Absolum for perfect runs but i'm pretty happy with this fight blocking attacks in this game is done by *dashing into them* which is a little counterintuitive but it also allows for certain techniques like tripguard. cool game

If you do it CORRECTLY you can defend/counter against reversal LK Hien and reversal EX Kazekiri and win with an ikken hissatsu. however, because the 2nd hit of EX Kazekiri must be HIGH parried, you do not get the benefit of cleanly dashing under the SA1/Kasumi Suzaku to fully avoid damage

Half a dozen eggs, 11 minutes in a pot with the gas turned off and a dish towel on top of the lid to control heat loss. Timer starts when all eggs are in; heat is killed after the water returns to a roiling boil. Might be the absolute hardest I'd boil my eggs. 9 minutes should yield jammy yolks.

Adding the hominy grits It was like a quart of leftover hominy from making pozole, so I blended it with 2 cups of milk Apparently this wasn't enough liquid to prevent burning on the bottom. So I'm adding lots of water. Texture is still kinda chewy so it'll probably take like half an hour

There's a crossover point where you have to start parrying backwards, i usually look for her front knee to clear his back shoulder, the next forward parry will automatically turn around, then you parry backwards

Damn. The series (and genre) has definitely lost relevance in this era but there was a time when this shit was just utterly burned into the zeitgeist Final Fight and Streets of Rage were ofc also heavily influenced by Streets of Fire, but Double Dragon probably kept the closest to its vision IMO
