My first review for SAL and it’s a Kirkus star!!! 🥳 “…Proudman’s debut novel is an homage to folk hero stories told through a feminist lens. The work, which is rooted in ecological justice, effectively critiques colonialism and jingoistic nationalism. A heartfelt, swashbuckling, standout novel.”

Congratulations to all the award winners and honorees for the ALA Youth Media awards this year! A special shout out to Cherry Mo who will be doing a story time with us for her Caldecott Honor picture book Home in a Lunchbox on Feb. 8th at 11 am.
