Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 17/04/2025My current read. Only around 150 pages in but I was not expecting it to be quite this entertaining 🤭 #SandersonCuriosities 020

Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 31/03/2025Well @bsky.app keeps crashing when I try to add a picture but... OF EMPIRE AND DUST by @ryancahill.bsky.social is out in the world today! Happy release day to the fourth book in one of my favourite fantasy series 🎉🎉🎉 By blade and by blood! 000
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 23/03/2025Hehe. Yeah that might be my doing 😅. I remember he talked about listening to Children of time after we talked about it and Fantasy Con a couple of years ago. 000
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 23/03/2025Yes! My husband has been listening to his works for years now. I figured it's time to give Children of time a shot. So far I'm impressed. 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 23/03/2025I'm reading The Court of Silver Flames by SJM and Children of time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Romantasy and sci-fi. Similar genres, right? 😅 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 16/03/2025I think we reached peak grown up. Today's outing with friends was plants and supplies shopping for our gardens 😅 020
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 16/03/2025Ooooh! Enjoy! Whereabouts in DK? Copenhagen? 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 10/03/2025I don't know who needs to hear this but: THERE ARE NO GIRAFFES!!! #splitFiction 010
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 14/02/2025I think my character might already been on this path before it was even revealed 🙈 040
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 12/02/2025I think you need to stock up on tissues for that next book 🤭 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 11/02/2025Happy audiobook release day to @mattdinniman.bsky.social, Carl and of course Princess Donut. Can't wait to start it! 010
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 07/02/2025I'm likely thinking about the damaged OBAF then. I know a few people found the price for the novella too steep. 100
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 06/02/2025Yes. The resale prices are insane unfortunately 😔 010
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 06/02/2025They will only print 1500 copies (iirc). 000
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 06/02/2025Those who bought The Fall will have priority rights. If the previous sale was any indication most people will exercise those priority rights. There were only very very few copies left for general sale and they sold out in seconds. 300
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 06/02/2025Oh! My! God! I can't wait to have this gorgeousness on my book shelf 😱 120
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Well I can say now that The Bomb is as horrible as they say (even if this one is not exactly the same as the one on the show). 000
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 01/02/2025It has been nice knowing you all! #hotoneschallenge 150
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 01/02/2025I missed this but absolutely Stormlight! Cannot wait! 010
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 31/01/2025I see you are very proud of this one 😂 100
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 29/01/2025OMG! How fucking adorable is this! I needs! 020
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 29/01/2025One does not simply foster a dog 🤭. I hope it works out for her and you all 💙 000
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 25/01/2025I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think many people did. I just really didn't like Yumi as a character and the ending really dragged it down for me. I preferred Tress and ofc Sunlit over Yumi. 000
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 24/01/2025Ah just wanted to say that it totally didn't feel like a Sanderson book to me and he could have saved it with the ending but he kinda ruined it even more 😅 100
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 24/01/2025First read? I want to say something but won't if it's first read 😅 110

Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 21/01/2025Playing with a group since the beta. I have a little inkspren 🤭. Can't wait for the official rules for the Elsecaller to be released. 040
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 15/01/2025Ahaha. Not much change on that front but I think it's coming. I'm looking forward to the next book out in audio next month. 010
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 15/01/2025I see you also went on a bit of a Carl binge 🤭 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 15/01/2025That's a couple of hours listening in 2024 🤭 010
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 14/01/2025I was sold on that title. And while the title is a lie the book itself was really good! 4⭐ 🧛♂️ 020
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 12/01/2025Huge hugs congrats to you both! She is beautiful and excellent choice of name too🤭. I wish you all lots and lots of happiness 💜💜💜 010
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 12/01/2025It honestly could be but it's not a DCC title. It's not litRPG. But it's bloody hilarious. Just the change of pace I needed. The first book is called The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, The Vampire Accountant. The title totally sold it for me. 330
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 12/01/2025I think it's a good idea to take a break. After WaT I needed something different so I started listening to Fred, the Vampire accountant. It's sufficiently different 🤭 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 12/01/2025You finished WaT already? I am also contemplating a Mistborn era 1 reread. But I'm scared because I wasn't a fan first time around 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 10/01/2025If you haven't read Eleventh Cycle now is a great time to pick it up. 011
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 09/01/2025I think it's more the people who took up the shards than the shards themselves but I agree 110
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 08/01/2025I'm starting a series of mini reviews for the books I've read. Book #1 of 2025 is Throne of Glass by Sarah J Mass 020
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 04/01/2025All the books I read in 2024. It's not much but it's honest work. There were two surprises. I definitely did not expect to like ACOTAR but here we are 🤷♀️. And I absolutely expected Dungeon Crawler Carl to be way too silly for my taste. Alas, it became an all time favourite. 071
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 04/01/2025One of the best things that came out of 2024 was finding my #CosmereRPG group! Such intense role playing sessions. It's fantastic! Can't wait for the official release! @brotherwisegames.bsky.social is doing a truly amazing job with this one 🔥🔥🔥 050
Vivienne Spence (arlena_reads) @arlena.bsky.social · 04/01/2025YES! One of my favourite parts! So well written. 010
