NBCUniversal may have let the name of the upcoming Mario movie slip a little early. In a recent press release, they mention the name of the upcoming Mario movie, Super Mario World. In a later update, the name of the movie was removed. Will the next Mario movie indeed be titled “Super Mario World?”

Today marks two years since the release of The Legend of Zelda:Tears of the Kingdom. It hasn’t been that long, but it doesn’t feel like it was two years ago when Link first woke up on the Great Sky Island and we began that journey. Happy 2nd Anniversary to Tears of the Kingdom.

Let’s ask the important questions here. So, we know they drink wine and liquor in Hyrule. There are wine bottles found throughout the kingdom, and the Noble Canteen in Gerudo Town is stocked with liquor bottles. What about beer? Do they drink beer and ales in Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda as well?

Nintendo fans are eating good this week! The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct happens tomorrow. It will be a 60 minute Direct featuring the Switch 2. Then, on Thursday and Friday, there will be two Nintendo Treehouse events focusing on Switch 2 gameplay. I wonder what games will be featured…

According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the Legend of Zelda films may be a trilogy that are filmed over the next six years with all actors and actresses signed on for all three films. Principal filming will take place in New Zealand beginning in November of this year. #thelegendofzelda #zelda

Nintendo has shared the release date for the live action Zelda movie. Two years from now (well, two days shy of two years) we will be watching this movie! I am kind of curious to see what this movie will be like… I wonder if we will see any details at all this year.

The modder MasaGratoR made a discovery within the newly released Xenoblade Chronicles X DE. The game’s executable contains a partially implemented hidden 60 FPS mode, though enabling it causes glitches. Is this a feature intended for playing the game on the Nintendo Switch 2?

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap was released on January 10, 2005, twenty years ago today. This game was actually made by Capcom, and they did a fantastic job with it. It was kind of a shorter game, but one I really enjoyed playing. Have you played the Minish Cap? Did you enjoy it?

Now, ranking lists are always subjective and debatable, but regardless, it’s still very cool to see Breath of the Wild make number one. Definitely an influential game and a game I truly loved playing. Congrats to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild!

It looks as though our first actual look at the next Nintendo system may not be coming from Nintendo themselves. Accessory manufacturer Genki used renderings and a mock up of the Switch 2 at CES in Las Vegas to show off their accessories for the console.

Happy New Year! 2025 is officially here. Unlike Termina, you can’t play the song of time for a ‘redo,’ but you do have far more than 72 hours to make everything happen. I hope everyone has a great year and you accomplish everything you set out to do! #zelda #thelegendofzelda #newyear

Reaching 46.6 million units sold, the Switch has now outsold the PS2 in the United States. The Switch now sits in second place in the US, with the Nintendo DS being the highest selling console. The PS2 is still the best selling console globally, with 160 million units sold.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword dropped on the Nintendo Music app, and I am genuinely puzzled as to why they didn’t refer to this song as “Romance in the Air.” Isn’t that the actual title?

Looking to add a little Legend of Zelda to your Christmas season? These albums are a great way to do that. “A Merry Hyrule Christmas” and “A Very Zelda Christmas” are filled with festive songs that mash up Christmas tunes with songs from the Zelda series. I highly recommend giving both a listen.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks first released 15 years ago today. It was a very unique experience trekking across New Hyrule in a train. Who doesn’t love trains? The mechanics, characters, and gameplay were a lot of fun. This game has arguably one of the best Zeldas in the series in my opinion.

It’s official! The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has been placed after Triforce Heroes and before the decline of the Kingdom, which leads to the first two games of the series. The game joins many other top down Zelda games in the lengthy Downfall Timeline.

Random thought on a Friday night. With the next Nintendo console being announced this fiscal year (prior to the end of March 2025), what are the odds it would get announced at the Game Awards?
