ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/202311/ if you want to see more of that exhibit we did a little documentary about it : youtu.be/wk6iFZEHDGA 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/202310/ I'm like watching myself react to destroying my art. Over the years I let people walk over it, cut it, burned it, my most recent project is hanging art on a tree for a year to see what nature will do to it. With the rise of Ai, I’m feeling more and more comfortable going into wild experiments. 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20239/Watching you do this changes me - an artist. it made me - an artist think deeper about what art is to me. What can I do with it? What you felt while standing on it. It made me question It inspired me. That one month of exhibit experience made me grow as an artist. Taught me to let go of things. 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20238/Experiencing this both for the artist and for the viewers is powerful. You know the painting underneath your feet is reflection of artist’a soul. You stand on it. You walk on it. You slowly destroying it. It is like economy on artist. It is metaphor for an artists' life in current society. 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20237/ To this day I never went to any other exhibits where the floors were covered with not just prints, but an actual hand-drawn paintings. Watching the slow distraction of something you work hard on for a long time and getting no monetary compensation for it in return is a form of meditation. 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20236/ At the time I didn’t realize or even try to analyze what was I doing. Years later, looking back I see in it my first attempt to show how we shouldn't get attached to anything. My early attempts to play with my art beyond only painting. Letting viewers interact with it on a deeper level 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20235/I continued filling the room with paintings as the exhibit progressed. By the end of the month, everything was covered. So if you came to the opening by the last day you wouldn’t recognize the room. 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20234/ Seeing shocked, confused faces at the entrance was precious. People didn’t know what to do. Every single one of them asks: “Do I… do I just step on it?” 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20233/ After weeks of painting on the paper type of material I put it on the ground. After a day of the exhibit being open, I realized it will not last an entire month with people stepping on it so I put tape all over it. Trying to protect a piece as much as I can. 100
ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/20232/ When I ran my first solo exhibition I did it based on raw instincts and emotions. I didn’t plan it, I wasn’t sure what I was doing, I simply wanted to create art, create an experience. And for some reason I wanted the entire room to be covered in paintings. Floors included. 110

ArinaBB @arinabb.bsky.social · 19/04/2023Not going to lie I don’t want this app to become huge and viral (it will). It feels so awesome to have a small community, it’s no pressure here, can get to know people better. It doesn’t feel overwhelming. Enjoying while it lasts 1110
