I’m hitting a solar milestone today. 44 tons of carbon saved from the atmosphere or the equivalent of 100k miles driven without gas. #solar

I'm incredibly proud of my wife Amy, who has just been named a recipient of the Association of Professional Genealogists 2026 New Professional Scholarship.
#Genealogy

I could be wrong but 13.5 kWh is the highest peak of intraday productivity I’ve ever seen on my rooftop #solar system. I’ve gotten used to 11s and 12s during the summer but this is the highest I’ve seen yet. Good start to June.

Ontario just imposed a 25% tariff on power supplied to New York, Minnesota and Michigan. My rooftop solar array right now.

Also this quote caught my attention and feels relevant. For those who don’t know Mithrandir is Gandalf… and Curunir is Saruman. (The many names are confusing…)

I finished The Silmarillion today and am convinced that Chapter 19, The Tale of Beren and Luthien should be the next film or even film series in the Tolkien franchise. Someday the estate should sell the rights. It will happen someday.

A downed tree cut us off from the power grid this morning. First the backup battery kicked in. And then the sun came out. We have ample power. #solar

A totally true story: When I was in eighth grade my youngest brother who was then a kindergartner or maybe a first grader taught me how to wrap gifts and I’ve never learned anything else about wrapping since.

@RepMikeLawler @LindseyBoylan Especially given overwhelming 2020 support for @JoeBiden in your district, your squeaky victory in a wobbly district says a lot.
