Standard Notes app by @proton.me is the only note taking app that I have been able to want to get back to for different kinds of writing. It's refreshing, fast enough, is featured packed, has amazing filters, and yet remains simple to use, while progressively being able to use other features.

I think I found my @keyboard.io configuration. So far happy with forearms not tingling every 5 minutes, because of finally typing with my palms facing each other instead of th ground.

One thing I really like about model 100 is the keycaps, the concavity is something that should be a default in every keyboard. It's so snug.

I'm really fascinated by kinesis advantage pro, its enter, space, backspace spanning the length of the thumbs, at least looks much more comfortable that 100's. And also the concave for fingers to not get crunched up while reaching far off keys.

The top of the thumb really begins to hurt even after a couple of minutes of moderately fast typing. I invested a couple of weeks actively reconfiguring the keyboard, for starts with karabiner-elements, so bring all modifier keys to the centre row, and my wrists and thumbs are much better.

@keyboard.io model 100 is so much better to use without stodgy and coming in the way fun keys. Another thing that is extremely hard to get used to with fast typing—only a portion of the thumb hitting the surface of modifier keys.

Finally picked up my @keyboard.io model 100 after 3 years of storage. I'd pick it up and try to use it, but because of the massive layout switch, it would hinder the work and I'd put it back in an hour. This time I finally persevered and oh boy is it a blessing to the wrists and fingers.

Absolutely can't fathom right handed people holding fork in the left and knife in the right in the name of British 'etiquettes'. I mean why would you do that to yourself other than if you aspire to be ambidextrous?

Installed Karabiner Elements on mac and switched left cmd with caps. Am I an elite programmer now? Dreaming of nvim days.

I am cleaning up months of opened chrome tabs, not reading, but saving them in the reading list. Feeling so relieved, despite the fact that I might never read them. Ghost links living under the browser.

I have started using vocabulary.com since Google killed dictionary and replaced it with AI definitions. I might even mix it with physical dictionary. Where are the simple pleasures going 😭

Dear JS ecosystem, I love you, but you have a dependency management problem when it comes to the Web, and the time has come for an intervention.

I have been using the minimalist app to streamline this. Notifications come, but get accumulated in a pool, to see quickly at the end of the day.

I expect that consumer-facing AI programs will continue to improve and they may become much more useful tools for everyday life in the future. But I think it was a disastrous mistake that today’s models were taught to be convincing before they were taught to be right.

I am absolutely amazed at how much Keystatic can do, not having to rely on CMSes which depend on databases. I've done three projects for clients this year. Each one of them breezed into using the dashboard, relieved to get out of @wordpress.org

It turns out starter packs have a limit of 150 accounts, so I did my best to find the 150 accounts to best stay on top of the web and React ecosystem ✨ go.bsky.app/RWZABB6

We do a cool thing at HubSpot where Engineering leaders "re-embed" as an IC for 2 weeks each year. I'm starting mine today. Replacing meetings and such with coding is exciting.... and terrifying!

Working on an end to end frontend + cms projects, the max limitation I've faced at problems I am getting stuck in are compiler problems. Have to really learn compilers.

I think github + a local no code CMS workflow could beat all the other CMSes, even the ones that work on top of github like Keystatic and Tina. Why build a system on top HTTP in a client-server model when you can make a desktop app changing `content` files for Astro and give this as local first, CMS

Spent 6 hours, trying to understand, why the hosted website of a developer tool emitted different format than the one emitted by npm package. It was a rust package binded with wasm. Turned out, the package and repo were not in sync 🤦🏻‍♂️. Library authors, pretty please, keep sync.

Reading code alone, which has a lot of different concepts and moving parts that you don't understand, and have to branch out to learn those concepts first, and then come back to join puzzle pieces, can be incredibly, excruciatingly lonely.

If you're trying to run port 5000 on local, but it says that it's in use, but you can't find anything running on localhost:5000, chances are that either of these might be true: g.co/gemini/share.... For me it was the weird AirPlay Receiver thing.
