Rewatched the phantom menace and honestly it wasn't that bad That being said I can see why people haaaaated it. I think the movie's biggest mistep is failing to properly show how brutal the droid invasion of Naboo was.

I don't mind Rogue One making it so Galen deliberately built a flaw into the Death Star but I don't think it was a contrivance to begin with. It's an experimental station of the size of a small moon built by fascists, of course its gonna have some stupid flaw that gets overlooked.

It's weird that while rewatching a new hope and the deer hunter, i went it to each movie with the opposite mindset: that after years now id end up apreciating the great epic american war movie and nitpicking the schlocky blockbuster only to feel like the latter is straight up better than the former

Rewatched a new hope and om surprised by how little Jedi Stuff(tm) there is in it. The movie waits a whole 40 minutes before Vader makes a modest demonstration of how the force can be used and altogether there's like a One agregate minute of lightsaber fighting in the whole thing
