To the writer who did no work on their book today: Did you... Think about your villain's motives? Read another novel and admire the writing? Overhear a conversation and jot down a line of dialogue? Talk about your story to a friend? That sounds to me like you DID work on your book today!

MEAN GIRLS x ACE OF SPADES No one wants to hear the queen bee's story, only destroy her. How to Be a Mean Girl follows Veronica Lambert, a popular cheer captain, as she becomes the target of a revenge plan. She must figure out who is behind it to save her reputation and her life. #DVpit #YA #CON

visual is a moodboard consisting of several photos. top row: two girls on the ground laughing, a laptop with study materials, the quote "I'm the queen of my own little world." middle row: a photo of the Burn Book from Mean Girls, a quote "Am I a villian in your story?", a pair of hands tied with Chanel ribbons. last row: a quote: "Rich, Spoilt, Rotten," a woman laying down holding a pink glass of wine, and a group of cheerleaders tossing a girl in the air.

MEAN GIRLS x ACE OF SPADES All Veronica Lambert wanted was to win a cheer competition and continue reigning over her school’s hallways during her junior year. Instead, she must figure out who is behind a revenge plan that is revealing her secrets and ruining her life. #DVpit #YA #CON #Thriller

I think the most “adult who was in a gifted and talented program as a kid” thing I could have done to myself was become an author. Just giving myself endless homework and a need for people to be proud of me forever.

Teasing my WIP for #dvpit that's been with me for 8 years now (omg). It has gone through a major rewrite with my mentor since the last time I pitched it two years ago. If you love Mean Girls, an unreliable narrator, female friendships, and revenge, then this will be perfect for you 💖🖤🤍 #dvparty

Finally moved to Bluesky. I'm Ariel, a #YA writer, #querying next year! My #WIP follows a cheer captain, as she is the target of a revenge plan, & all evidence of her friend going missing leads back to her. No one wants to hear the queen bee's story; only destroy her. Aces of Spades x Mean Girls
