Rereading King of the Dark, a book I published five years ago. Niko’s grit in the opening chapters is gorgeous and even though we don’t know it’s Vasili under the hood, there’s already a hint of sexual tension in their aggression. Especially knowing how their relationship develops.

Watching Severance with my 15yo daughter. Neither of us has any idea what’s going on. But it reminds me of LOST. You guys remember when nobody knew what the island was, of the hatch, or the smoke? Severance has that same weird vibe. I just hope it doesn’t end the same. 😂

Licensing ebooks also means they are cheaper. If you want to buy an ebook outright they’d be much more expensive (see paperback prices).

You cannot legally resell an ebook, you cannot legally share an ebook. Because you buy a license to read it. You do not own it. This has always been the case. But “I own my ebooks and want to keep them!” I’m sorry. You don’t. If you want to own a book, buy the paperback.

I’m sorry but when you buy an ebook you do not own it and never have. You license it, the same way you license a movie or music. It’s in the terms for all stores and has ALWAYS been this way. This fact is being bundled with the USB download change, creating unnecessary panic.

The upcoming Amazon change to ebooks only applies to you if you download files using a USB cable. (Which most people don’t do) NOTHING else is changing. Stop the scaremongering. We have enough to be scared about without adding social media drama to ebooks too.
