This. The problems are very real! And we need to deal with them! But at their core _these are useful technologies_. Disruptive, and we’re not navigating that at all well. And we’re letting the tech industry run roughshod over everything as always. But. We can use them well.

I actually got in a writing mood today. it's funny what reading a whole novel in one day does for my brain: I can never turn off the analytical and context-situating habits in my brain and Just Read A Story, so I end up with essay-sized thoughts scribbled down.

I know don't judge a book by its cover and all but y'know what? I miss covers that actually told you what was inside, and weren't just a piece of filler for the ebook template and maybe a marketing event you can tease on social media. Anthologies used to list authors on the cover.

Now that I notice it it's obvious but I just spent _way_ too long trying to find a few things on AO3 to get ideas for a break-up scene for a straight relationship, from the guy's perspective. There are not a lot of them to be found and wow they are buried in GAY I don't usually mind but mannnn.
