OH, you would be surprised with the answer... From my own experiences and the communities I'm part of there are still a lot of people that play and care about those games (me included hehe). All of that said, that prototype looks fun!

As for people in doubt on where to draw the line, I draw mine on if the game has an element that pressures the player into playing, like gravity, timers, etc. (Falls in line with how arcades try to get you off the cabinet asap). All that said it can also be solely on vibes... *cough* *cough* Peggle.

I though so much about this topic throughout the years and I think "Arcade Puzzle" feels very adequate. "Tetris-like" and "Falling block puzzle" exclude a good chunk of great games from the genre (e.g. Puzzle Bobble, Panel de Pon, Zuma), and "Action Puzzle" felt more like a Portal instead of Tetris.
