When urbanists take pictures of a Paris street (like Rue de Rivoli) showing all the people on bikes taking advantage of protected infrastructure, it’s not just because we “like bikes.”
It’s because we’re picturing the gridlock if they were driving cars.
And the public cost, pollution, noise…
