As a remote worker who spends a lot of time in Zoom calls, I encourage you to turn on “ Personalized voice isolation” It will make the experience better for everyone in the call.

As an iPad user, I’m really excited about the “describe extension” feature in Safari in iPadOS 27. Have you tried it? what are the custom extensions you have created?

On a more positive note, I've been getting really good Looms from people, instead of the long AI docs. The looms are great because: - It's async, which is always great. - Shows your input, your words, your explanation. - Can come with walkthroughs of the product in a way docs can't.

It's Friday so this might be accumulated from the week but...I'm really tired of reading other people's AI generated long docs. You didn't put the time to write it, why are you asking me to put the time to read it?

As a non-native english speaker, I’m very self-conscious about grammar. I installed Harper on Obsidian and I just want it everywhere. A couple of clicks and I found out you can have it everywhere. Thanks @elijahpotter.dev this is amazing work. writewithharper.com/desktop

The problem with being a designer is that once you use a product that looks good and does the job at least as good as the alternative, it's really hard to step away from it. Things that look good, work better.

Anyone with a nano-texture display that can provide advice for getting a screen cleaner spray? I've read that it should be 70% isopropanol, but would like to hear from a real person experience. I have both a macbook pro with nano-texture display and a BenQ external monitor with nano matte panel

Seems like more people are talking to their computer (dictation apps like whisper flow, Spokenly, hex…) I wonder why our computers don’t talk back to us. I would love for my computer to read me anything on the screen.

The death toll has risen to 1,430 people and thousands more are injured, Jorge Rodríguez, the leader of Venezuela’s National Assembly, said on Saturday. The region continues to be rattled by aftershocks, prompting many people in La Guaira, the most affected state, to sleep outside, fearing more buildings could fall. The UN estimates that 125 buildings have collapsed, which suggests many more deaths than the official figure, Gianluca Rampolla, the UN humanitarian coordinator in Venezuela, said in an interview. I presented yesterday some slides, and realized again how bad Google slides is. On top of the general bad ux, seems like presenter notes have not been solved in most presentation programs. Assuming you have two screens, most of the times you are not looking at where the presenter view is shown

Leaving this here in case you are considering this monitor. It’s a good value for money but not a real one cable solution once you add any additional peripherals.

Jose Ardila @ardilamorin.com · 29/03/2026
I solved this by connecting these to a hub that attaches to the laptop directly, which I already owned. Like this one www.amac.nl/satechi-pro-...

I haven’t check if the newly released MA2730S (glossy) handles this issue better. I considered it, but preferred the matte display since I have nano texture on my laptop.

Jose Ardila @ardilamorin.com · 29/03/2026
I was not able to justify the Apple Studio Display price, plus it didn’t meet my needs of handling two computers at the same time and having a matte screen (without paying even more), and probably would suffer from the same issues with the hub.

My previous 4k, 7 year old LG was better, no thunderbolt, but managed to hide any connections nicely behind the monitor.

Jose Ardila @ardilamorin.com · 29/03/2026
I just needed to connect my kanto speakers via usb dac and a webcam, and the only available ports are down facing. Which would make the aesthetic horrible, with cables hanging downwards.

Jose Ardila @ardilamorin.com · 29/03/2026
Now the biggest con… the hub is a mess. This monitor is advertised as a single cable solution that doesn’t live up to its promise the moment you add any peripherals.

Also the look is also great, very discreet and simple, making it look more premium (without the original stand and mounted on the BenQ ergo arm looks even better)

The good is that the matte finish is not as noticeable as I have read in many reviews, it does not create a rainbow effect. And the brightness is more than fine.

As someone who uses a laptop a lot for work, I was very sad to see how much real state I lost when Apple introduced the notch. I’m very happy to get a new compact safari to gain some of that real state back. (still not a fan of that notch, I was hiding both toolbar and dock in the past)

As a Latino, I can’t put into words what it means to see what Bad bunny did at the super bowl. The courage, the symbolism, the homage to all Americans (south, center, north). You may not like the music, but this is just a new level of protest and celebration of culture. youtu.be/G6FuWd4wNd8?...

This is probably counterintuitive, since the mistakes that Claude makes might be caused by missing context. After v1 of the site is finished, I will try a deeper integration and higher autonomy for smaller changes.

I have been using claude to “assist” me in my personal website redesign and build. Copying, pasting, discussing the results as I progress to ensure it aligns with my philosophy for the site. It required a lot of hand-holding, making me afraid to give Claude “the keys” and more autonomy.

To reiterate my conflicting feelings. After snatching the drug lord, the US decided to stay an “run the country” And has already threatened Greenland, Mexico, Colombia, Cuba. Who now decides which countries are doing a good job or are next in line to be conquered?

✅ Do I believe Maduro is a dictator, lost the elections and should step away from power ❌ Do I think the US is right to attack another country on the basis of being the source of drugs and putting in danger the lives of US citizens
