When we initially lacquered the Ardgowan Distillery Company Limited stills, they displayed a beautiful salmon hue - after our first distillation run, the wash has magically darkened and developed into a lovely copper tone that is just gorgeous.

I took a pre-dawn hike up Idzholm Hill overlooking Ardgowan Distillery Company Limited. A chilly -2°C morning. The sun's golden rays gradually lighted the distillery and the mist quickly cleared. Our ancestors celebrated this day waiting for the explosion of growth and a promise of a new season.

Distillery Water The rock formations in the Inverclyde region consist primarily of sandstones with limestones and dolomites, plus some mudstone and siltstone. The borehole water is exceptionally clean and sweet, is ideal for producing single malt whisky. Here is Stevie with a video update.
