I grew up in constant fear that the government was going to take me away from my family because of our fundamentalist beliefs. I was told I would need to be willing to protect my future family from armed persecution. Turns out my cult never wanted freedom. They just didn't want competition.

I love reading the comments section those "Jordan Peterson vs. 20 Atheists" clips of JP getting owned. The JP fans' main counterargument is that the atheists in the clips are "rude," "smug," or some synonym of either. Which is exactly my experience in talking to every JP fan, ever.
